What made you go into music?
I was asked to join Girlband Desire in 2008 and that was when my heart really came alive. When I felt really alive for the first time.  Performing on the competition and after sparked something in me. I knew i needed to sing and music became of the upmost importance to me.

Who are your influences?
I loveeeee Beyonce. Everything she stands for and represents. She is the goal! I grew up listening to Michael Jackson, Boys 2 Men, Celine Dion, Toni Braxton, Kenny G, Mike & The Mechanics. Music has always been a big part of my life and I draw my influences from that.

Are you a signed?
I’m not

You released your new latest Single ‘Crystal’, tell us more about the single  and the meaning behind the song.
I first created the sing over a decade with an incredible team in London. The producer lost the files and I thought the song was gone forever. However I had a real rough PA version of the track. Last year I approached Jaimie Johnson to see if he could recreate it. He did just that and I’m so happy and grateful to be able to say Crystal is now with you all 🙂 The song is about being in a relationship and going through the mostions of it but also struggling with those people in your life on the outside, making comments about your relationship and what you should be doing in it. It would be magical if we all had a crystal ball that could tell us exactly what to do and exactly who to be with, but we don’t. Crystal talks about all of this but it’s a reminder to everyone listening, that you’ll be ok. Make your own choices, love who you want and you’ve got this!

Describe the track in two words.
Rollercoaster Ride

What was the writing and recording process like?
Initially, when I first recorded Crystal it was so much fun. But then when we lost the project i was devastated. I’ve held onto this song, the melody, the relatable message within it and when I had the opportunity to rerecord it, it came out even better. The beat was harder, my voice had matured and my vocals were stronger. I believe everything happens for a reason and exactly when it’s supposed to. It came back to life at the perfect time for me.

Who did you work with on the single?
I worked with the incredible duo Jaimie Johnson and The Voix. What a pair!!!!! Thank you both for all of your work. You guys have made me so happy!

Are we expected to see a music video for ‘Crystal’,  if so, what can expect from it?
I’ve recently recorded an acoustic video of the track and that will be dropping on Friday. I’m so excited for that.

Will we see an EP or Album if so, what can we expect from it and the meaning behind it.
You willlll be seeing an EP dropped this year. It will be yours this summer and its a combination of all my feelings, thoughts, dreams, aspirations and fun. Music makes me happy and i love it so much. I worked with amazing people on this project and I really hope you all enjoy it! Especially when you play it loud with your windows down 😀

Do you have any live shows coming up?
I will be performing at Hoochie Coochie in Newcastle 31st May & at Rumba in Newcastle 15th June.

Let us know where we can get tickets if so.
As soon as the tickets go live, I will be posting them on my socials, so please keep an eye out for them in the coming weeks.

What else can we expect in 2024?
New music, new visuals and continuous growth. As I get older, my life experiences change, as do my thoughts and feelings. You can expect to hear that in my music.

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
Making music that I love, happy and healthy and enjoying life with my family!

What quote or saying do you always stick by?
‘I’m the luckiest girl in the world’ 😀

When you are at a gig, what are 5 things you cannot forget?
Water, my lyrics (hahahahaha) A banging outfit, a bobble and sweets. I really love sweets and a show is complete when I’ve had a mouthful 😂
