What is your name?
Caroline, but I release music under the name “wynne”.

What is your genre of music?
I would describe it as some mixture of singer-songwriter/indie/pop!

Give us a little bio about you.
I grew up in Texas and lived there my whole life until I moved to Nashville a little over a year ago. I have always been singing and had a love for music, but didn’t start writing music until college. I love and am very inspired by nature and really enjoy how green it is here in Nashville. I am super inspired by vocalists like Yebba and Madison Ryan Ward and am really excited to make music here in this new city.

What made you go into music?
I have always felt a deep connection and love for music and singing! I’ve been singing forever and started writing music in college and now I find it very therapeutic. After graduating college in Texas I decided to move to Nashville and really give it a try.

Who are your influences?
Yebba is one of my biggest vocal inspirations for sure. I also really love the artist Leon, and Leon Bridges (two diff people hahaha)

Are you a signed?
I’m independent!

You released your new single ‘Denton’, tell us more about the single and the meaning behind the song.
‘Denton’ is a very personal song to me, and marks the beginning of a new chapter. I wrote it in my empty apartment as I gathered my final few boxes before my move to Nashville. Most of the songs I write take a bit of time, but I remember sitting by the window and writing it in about 15 minutes. It was very healing for me, and provided me with a lot of closure that I didn’t know I needed. Denton is named after the town I lived in for four years in college. Living there will always be an important chapter in my life – I learned a lot and had a lot of amazing moments, but it was a very painful time for me as well. ‘Denton’ is my perspective on a really difficult time and how I chose to move forward with gratitude.

Describe the track in two words.
Nostalgic, bittersweet

What was the writing and recording process like?
I wrote it in a matter of minutes by myself in my old apartment. I recorded it months later once I officially moved to Nashville.

Who did you work with on the single?
I worked with Ben Tidwell, a local producer here in Nashville, and it was great to work with him on a song that’s very special to me. He’s very welcoming, easy to be around, and willing to help you bring your vision to life to the best of his ability.

Will we see a music video for ‘Denton’, and if so, what can we expect from the creative process?
There will not be a visual component to Denton aside from the cover photoshoot!

Will we see an EP or album and if so, what can we expect from it?
I will be working towards a collective body of work like an album in the future, however for now I think my process will involve releasing more singles for a while.

Do you have any live shows coming up?
I tend to do writing rounds in Nashville – you can always see where I’m playing next on my Instagram and other socials!

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
I hope to have a career in music that is my livelihood and allows me to continue to express myself and connect with others.

What quote or saying do you always stick by?
Not really a quote, but I always aim to lead with kindness.

When you are at a gig, what are 5 things you cannot forget?
WATER!! I tend to forget a lot of the other things I need.

Do you have social media accounts so your fans can follow you?
Yes! My instagram and my Tik Tok
