What is your name?
What is your genre of music?
Multi genre pop! I would say French pop meets dance pop!
Give us a little bio about you.
Sure! I’m from Paris, France. My dad is French and Mom is from New York, so I really was raised In both cultures. ! I have loved singing and songwriting from a very young age. I used to write lyrics in class., sometimes when I wasn’t supposed to… but I just couldn’t help it! My grandmother who is an opera singer was my first vocal coach when I was just 3, we would also sing in church together every Sunday. I used to be in musicals as a teenager and have taken dance lessons such as ballet. Salsa and hip hop, which molded me into the artist I am today. I truly love to write songs that vibe with spirituality and remind people of their divinity and how exciting life is. To me, music is the representation of the celebration of life.
What made you go into music?
After some experience in musicals, I went to college at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in NY which helped me fall in love with acting, dance and singing which really helped improve my craft as well as my confidence as a stage performer. This is when I knew that music would be my path as a career. I lived in L.A for a few years and created music, did some acting in movies and shows, but it years later, after moving to Las Vegas and creating this EP when I knew these songs were different from what I have created before, and it felt like true magic. I knew I would be extremely excited to release these! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do..
Who are your influences?
I was raised in the 2000s so of course I used to love to dance to Britney Spears music, sing Mariah Carey. Today, I am influenced by lots of different genre of pop such as Sofi Tucker, Camila Cabello, Rufus to Sol, Xavier Rudd, Ariana Grande, and if you may have heard of the Belgium singer Angele.
Are you a signed?
I have my own independent label called Soul Flame Entertainment.
You released your new single ‘ Playground’, tell us more about the single and the meaning behind the song.
Being surrounded by both French and American cultures can really be felt in this song. I feel like Playground really mixes the European and American styles, it’s a sweet combo! This song is about letting your heart explore, and feel everything that love could mean. Playground can also be about your body being a playground, and what making love can make one feel. It’s a sexy song, and I had so much fun creating this little piece. The bridge part in French, if anyone understands, it is a meditation style speech to truly express how important it is to live in the present moment, and we are earth in this bodies to truly love, we are all one, feel love, love each other and live in the now.
Describe the track in two words.
What was the writing and recording process like?
I had a lot of fun creating this with my team, Zack, Dan and Richard in the studio. We all gave ideas when it came to lyrics and melody, Zack and Dan fired up composition and Dan produced it. It was an incredible time, and I will always remember how fun this was. Truly magical to create art together.
Will we see a music video for ‘ Playground’, and if so, what can we expect from the creative process like?
We have released a visualizer and lyrical animation, but we may release a music video as well. I guess we shall wait and see! This would definitely fun to create if we do! The lyrics, and energy of this song would be really incredible to play around with and go way out there as a full video!
Can we expect an EP or Album and if so, what can we expect from it.
This is my first EP and releasing a song every six weeks. There are four in total. I plan on recording more songs this year. So this will turn into an album eventually.
What else can we expect in early 2023?
My next songs really dab into various genres of pop, the next single will be Confetti, which is a pop/ edm track. Can’t wait for you to hear it! It is a summer celebration anthem.
Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
In 5 years, I hope to have a few albums under my belt, and lots of adventures during my tours to talk about! Haha, mainly, I hope I will be exploring my creative juices in many ways, writing more songs, singing and dancing as I am now!
What quote or saying do you always stick by?
My favorite motto if I am ever stressed out is Relax, be cool, have fun! It always works. Why stress when you are doing what you love. Live in the present and enjoy it!
When you are at a gig, what are 5 things you cannot forget?
May I pick three? My lip gloss for the stage, An Iced vanilla latte before the gig, and a lychee martini for after!
