COUNTRY ARTIST FROM OKLAHOMA ‘AMY JACK’ IS HERE WITH US TO TELL US MORE ABOUT WHO SHE IS, HER BRAND NEW MUSIC ‘CLUTCH’ AND WHAT ELSE IS TO COME. READ OUR FULL CHAT NOW BELOW.

What is your name?
Amy Jack

What is your genre of music?
Country

Give us a little bio about you.
I was born in Oklahoma and was raised by a family of music teachers. I have always thought that music is the most powerful mover in the world. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.A. in TV/Radio/Film. Working in radio was where my career took off as an account executive for iHeart Media and Cumulus, which has elevated my knowledge of music standards and helped me to land placement on multiple iHeartMedia stations.

What made you go into music?
Music has always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, my mother was a piano teacher and we always had music playing in the house, whether my mom was teaching a lesson or the radio was playing or my sister and I would sing together. I thought “I want to do this when I grow up,” and I knew I had to take the leap of faith and pursue music ever since.

Who are your influences?
Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Elvis, Barbara Streisand and many others.

Are you signed?
Not at the moment!

You released your new single ‘Clutch’, tell us more about the single and the meaning behind the song.
I’m a huge sports fan, and I always heard announcers calling players and coaches clutch, swooping in to save the day and support their teammates in a tricky situation. I began to think about all of the people in my life who have come in clutch, and I knew I had to write a song about it. I hope people can relate to the song and it reminds them of the people who keep them going.

Describe the track in two words.
Modern & unforgettable

What was the writing and recording process like?
I worked with Anthony Cunningham writing the song, and the words came pretty naturally since I had been thinking about it for a good while. Anthony came up with a great beat and I fell in love with the song. Everything was written and recorded in Nashville.

Who did you work with on the single?
Like I mentioned before, Anthony Cunningham who co-wrote the song with me. My producer, Billy Dawson mixed the project, and they really made sure everything was perfect before they let me listen and release it. These guys are very clutch to me.

Will we see an EP or Album and if so, what tell us more about it.
I’m working on a project that will release later on in the year around the holidays, so be sure to keep an eye out for that when you’re ready to get in the holiday spirit.

What else can we expect in early 2023?
I’m going to be performing at a couple of shows. I just sang the national anthem at an NFL game and hope to do more of those opportunities.

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
I’d love to continue to be writing music and performing more shows for listeners.

What quote or saying do you always stick by?
Never say never. I’ve had many people say no to me in the past few years, and I will never give up on my dream
