FROM THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST TO NASHVILLE INTRODUCING COUNTRY ARTIST ‘CORT CARPENTER’. WE GOT TO HAVE A CHAT ALL ABOUT HIS NEW MUSIC,HIS INFLUENCES AND CHASING HIS DREAMS OF GETTING A RECORD DEAL! READ IT BELOW.

What is your name?
Cort Carpenter

What is your genre of music?
Country Music

Give us a little bio about you.
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I’ve been here in Nashville pursing my dreams since 2012. Since arriving in Nashville I’ve played well over 2000 shows here in Nashville & around the country. I have a baby boy named, Lux, and an amazing wife named Kelly.

What made you go into music?
I accidently fell into singing after my college baseball career ended. I started singing for fun and it just started blowing up from there, so I ran with it.

Who are your influences?
I have a ton. I get asked this a lot but because I have so many, it is hard to say. However, some of my favorite country influences would be Dierks, Joe Nichols, Blake, and Tim McGraw

Are you a signed?
Currently I am unsigned but chasing down a deal. Hoping the right person can hear my music and see what I have built and get behind it.

You released new album ‘All In’, tell us more about the single and the meaning behind the album.
The album has been in the making for over a year. I teamed up with two young, fresh producers that absolutely killed it in every way on the production end. They also landed some huge songs to include on this record with some of Nashville’s biggest songwriters. We put everything together and have one hell of an album. From song 1 to 10. My hope is fans will listen to the album from top to bottom because I think they will fall in love with it. The name “All In” came because I wanted to make a statement about being “here & ready” & I’m down to put my music up against anyone is in the business.

What was the writing and recording process like?
I’m a co-writer on a few of these songs. Writing for an album is always so fun. You are tailoring the song to head into a direction suited just for you. I also was able to get songs from some of Nashville’s top songwriters. It’s really cool to have their names also on the credits. When it comes to recording, anytime I can be in the studio, I am stoked. I worked with Taylor Bialy & Lukas Scott Klingensmith (producers) and just was a vibe. I’m happy we found each other because this is one hell of an album.

Who did you work with on the album?
I worked with Taylor Bilay & Lukas Scott Klingensmith. They producded and played on a lot of the album. We were fortunate to have the guitar legend himself, John Willis, on guitar which elevated this thing to the top.

Will we see a music video for any of the tracks on the album  and if so what can we expect from the creative process?
You can currently see a music video I dropped for “Raise One Up” a couple of months ago. A fun video that’ll surely get you raising your glass up. I foresee there being a couple more videos for sure from this album.

Do you have any live shows coming up and if so where can we see you live?
We are usually all around the country, but from now until early summer we will be playing weekly in Nashville on Friday nights at the 12/30 Club. We have a residency there at this time and are enjoying it very much. You can catch us every Friday night at 6:30pm. We also have a midweek residency at Whiskey Row in Nashville. That is a lunch time set that runs from 11:00-2:30pm each Wednesday. We will be hitting the road more this summer and Fall .

What else can we expect in early 2023?
You can expect to see me getting my album out for the world to hear. It is my first full length album, so I am excited about that. Now comes the challenging work of getting it heard by fans and industry folks.

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
My hope is that my name becomes a household country music name worldwide. Gotta shoot for the stars.

What quote or saying do you always stick by?
“Live for Nothing, or Die for Something”

When you are at a gig, what are 5 things you cannot forget?
Lyrics, cables, microphone, guitar strap & guitar picks.
