What is your name?
Sabina Chantouria

What is your genre of music?
Singer-songwriter, Pop, soft rock, Americana, folk.

Give us a little bio about you.
I’m a Swedish/Georgian singer and songwriter based in Sweden, I also run my own record label. My music has been put in rotation on international radio and I’ve performed at numerous festivals. I was selected for the World Championship of Performing Arts in Hollywood 2011 and was a 2017 Georgian National finalist for Eurovision. I have performed live on television and radio, working with music producers worldwide.

What made you go into music?
I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember, it has always felt natural and I would even say healing. I started to write my own songs and play guitar in my early teens.

Who are your influences?
Tori Amos, Madonna, Fleetwood Mac, Abba, Lana Del Rey are some favourites of mine.

Describe the track in two words.
Sad cinematic

What was the writing and recording process like?
I wrote the song on guitar, the writing process was very fast, I had a lot of feelings that had been building up over a course of time. There was also a specific photo of a little boy standing in front of his house with a gun by his side, the look in his eyes sparked some of the first lines.
For the recording we used guitar as a foundation although there are many instruments in it. There are elements of some orchestral instruments and arrangements, that creates a cinematic atmosphere of tension and release. I’m very pleased with the way it turned out.

Who did you work with on the single?
I wrote Blood on Your Hands and worked with the Georgian music producer Roma Giorgadze for arrangements and production.

We also see a music video for ‘Blood On Your Hands’, tell us more about the creative process and filming.
Yes, the music video is filmed by the director Tea Vatsadze together with her team, in Georgia. I’m thankful to have been working with her and all the talented people who participated in the making of the video. The music video has a strong cinematic feeling to it that reflects the song so well. Check it out here on Youtube

Will we see an EP or Album and if so, what can we expect from it?
There will be an EP or album coming out in the future, and when it does there will be a lot of colourful and heartful songs in a borderland of pop, rock and americana with melody and edge.

What else can we expect in 2022?
Actually, there is a new release on its way already that fits the above description very well and that has been in the making for quite some time now, soon to be revealed. 🙂

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
Making lots of new music and touring in new countries and headlining some top venues, among many other things.

What quote or saying do you always stick by?
