Can we get a little bio about The Zombies for those who are maybe new to your music?
The Zombies’ performances, described by Rolling Stone as “absolutely triumphant”, take fans on a journey through time, from their early hits…their 1968 masterpiece Odessey & Oracle…post-Zombies solo favorites…right to today with Still Got That Hunger. The second U.K. band following the Beatles to score a #1 hit in America, The Zombies infiltrated the airwaves with the sophisticated melodies, breathy vocals, choral back-up harmonies and jazzy keyboard riffs of their 1960’s singles “She’s Not There” and “Tell Her No.” Ironically, the group broke-up prior to achieving their greatest success – the worldwide chart-topping single “Time of the Season,” from Odessey & Oracle, ranked #100 in Rolling Stone’s ‘500 Greatest Albums of All Time.’ To this day, generations of new bands have cited The Zombies’ work as pop touchstones and the band continues to be embraced by new generations of fans. Led by founding members, vocalist Colin Blunstone and keyboardist Rod Argent, the band is currently working on their next album, set to release in time for their 2022 tour.
With the postponement of your Tour, you are doing an online show at Abbey Road Studios, tell us more about how we can join the event, what to expect and how it came about.
It came about because our management was looking for a safe and viable alternative to touring for us, while making it exciting for us, and our fans around the world.
The Zombies will be coming Live from Studio Two, Abbey Road Studios for their First and Only “World Tour in One Night” Livestream September 18, 2021. Tune in via: https://thezombies.veeps.com/
You are using new streaming service Veeps, tell us more about it and how that came about also.
Our manager met the Veeps folks while talking on a panel alongside one of their reps. As soon as she showed interest in doing a show with them, the founders, Benji and Joel Madden, of Good Charlotte reached out to her and said, how can we make it happen? We want to be the ones to help The Zombies pull off an epic livestream.

Will we be seeing new music at the online show or will we hear a mix of both classic and new?
It will be a mix of classic and new. We will be debuting 5 tracks from our upcoming album along with our hits. It’ll be an hour and a half of music.
With the tour being rescheduled for 2022, can you tell us some plans you have for it or is it a top secret at the moment?
Yes, we plan on announcing a full tour for 2022, shortly after the Abbey Road Livestream.
Do you have support sorted for tour and if so who can we expect to see and if you have any surprises for the fans?
In the UK, I believe we’re going to have some lovely friends of ours, touring with us. http://www.edwardrogersmusic.com/rogersbutler.html will do some of the dates (Bristol, UK onwards), and https://www.brucesudano.com will start the tour off with us.

What else can we expect from The Zombies from Now till the end of 2021?
We will be finishing our album. We will also be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of my debut solo album One Year, which was produced by Rod Argent and Chris White of The Zombies. Sandazed Records will be putting out a remastered, gatefold double album that will include 14 of my demos from that year, and incidentally, that second lp will be called That Same Year. The CD will contain all the tracks in one disc. You can hear a preview here: I Won’t Let You Down
What advice would you give upcoming bands/artists?
You meet the same people on the way up as you do on the way down……be kind because it will help your career and more importantly because it’s the right thing to do!!!
