What is your names?
Jaida Aneese

What is your genre of music?
R&b / pop

Give us a little bio about you.
I grew up in a small town in Ohio. After high school, I started posting on TikTok for fun, and wound up getting 14M views. My real passion was music, though, so I got serious about a life in the music industry around 2 years ago. I was discovered by billboard jazz recording artist Jimmy B, who then introduced me to producer Eddie Ferguson and Jaytel Bethaford.

What made you go into music?
There is no single thing that made me want to go into Music. There was always music playing in my house from the day I was born. Music is just a part of my heart and soul. I started writing songs in my bedroom when I was 12. I just always had something inside of me pushing me in that direction, so here I am.

Who are your influences?
Rihanna is my greatest influence because she’s a legit queen. Her work ethic, her confidence, the way she carries herself and stays humble but savage at the same time. Not to mention she’s the world’s wealthiest female musician and second richest woman in entertainment behind Oprah Winfrey. Being a young black female artist, and seeing her grow this way is insane. I just have mad respect for her and admire her to the fullest.

Are you a signed?
I’m an independent artist with support from WKM records.

Your new single ‘Liquid’ is out, tell us more about the single.
Liquid is a really fun, relatable, song about being in love. It’s about that feeling when you are so into someone, your body feels like liquid when they’re close. The effect they have on you when you just wanna melt, u know?

What is the meaning behind the single?
The meaning behind the single is being so overwhelmed with love that you melt into liquid.

Who did you work with on the single?
My producer Eddie Ferguson and vocal producer Jaytell Birmingham II.

Describe the track in two words.
Vibes & love

What was the writing and recording process like?
The writing process for this song actually happened overnight on one of my trips to Houston. I started off with a really sad and deep concept for a song that I wanted to create. After discussing it with my producers, we decided to totally flip the script and make something happy and upbeat. I tend to write slow sad songs. So I accepted the challenge and went back to my hotel room and just thought of an original melody I had in mind. Then I put myself in the mindset of love and what it felt like and BOOM it felt like liquid!

Will we see a music video for ‘Liquid’ and if so what can we expect from it?
YES expect the same vibes that the song gives off about love and a fun loving relationship.

Will we see an EP or Album and if so, what can we expect from it?
Yes both an EP and album will be released and I would say expect to be in your feelings.

What else can we expect in 2021?
For 2021 I would say to expect some slower songs about dealing with your shit

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
In 5 years I see myself on movie screens, on stage and traveling the world doing what I love.

What quote or saying do you always stick by?
“ Blood makes you related, Loyalty makes you family.”

When you are at a gig, what are 5 things you cannot forget?
Have Fun
Choreography
Outfits
Prayer
lemon drops
