What is your stage name?
Kim Cameron…and it’s my real name! My band mates are called ’Side FX’ but that’s more of a phrase about a collective of very talented musicians, songwriters and producers from around the globe.
What is your genre of music?
I write all kinds of music! But, I am best known for my EDM, House and Deep House tracks. I have released 3 children’s albums, 5 audio books, a classic Christmas ep, and then of course, my 9 dance albums. In between, there were a few jazz, adult contemporary and soft rock numbers in there….
Give us a little bio about you.
Well, I grew up in Southern Cali, hopped to various states including Kansas, Nebraska, little Colorado, Indiana, then hit the east coast, and have not turned back! I live in Miami Beach on the ocean and it is my true love. I began playing the Clarinet in the 2nd grade. After 8 or nine years of orchestra and marching band, I decided to hit the stage with musical theater. That transformed me over to a really bad cover band….which was sooo much fun! From there, I walked into this original project in 2008. A magical year where I feel like I truly discovered music.
What made you go into music?
Not sure. I guess, my dad always encouraged me, but I think if you have music in your soul, it’s not something that goes away. It’s there from the start.
Who are your influences?
So many..from the young to the old. There is so much talent out there. I love Kylie, she continues to be relevant. And, I love baby James’ stories. Bruno is an amazing live performer. I guess, in some way, they influence us, right?
Are you signed?
Not any more. No one is more passionate about your music like you are. I figured that out quickly.
Your new single ‘Show Me You Feel (Ibiza Sunrise Bimbo Jones Mix), tell us more about the single.
I love love love working with the Bimbo Jones group. They just get me. Fun, happy, just wanna make you dance kind of like a remix team. Plus they are super nice! The song is another one of my love stories and all about putting down the phone and getting real with the person you love. Sound familiar???
What is the meaning behind the single?
I think we are too attached to our phones and other electronics. It’s time to just shut it off. People should meet people the old fashion way…….in person!
Who did you work with on the single?
The original was produced by Kevin Rockhill. He is based out of New York City and is amazing! We have worked together for years and we just finished a brand new one…coming soon!!!!!

What was the writing and recording process like?
I love studio work, so it always brings me joy. Even after 400+ tracks…I still love every minute!
Will we see a video for the single and if so what can we expect?
For Show Me You Feel, the video is out! I even did some of the aerial dancing work in it! For the newest single, stay tuned….we are set to film this month.
Will we see an EP or Album and if so, what can we expect from it?
These will all be a part of the ALL LOVE Ep. Not sure how many will be on it, but, suspect a few more for sure.
What else can we expect in 2021?
The announcement of the network who will be showing my new animation feature film Seaper Powers!
Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
Making 2 to 3 more movies! I love it. What could be better than making movies for kids, writing music for it and then watching people smile?
