What is the band name?
We are called lock-in.
How did you come up with then bands name?
we always said we wanted the name to come naturally and after maybe a month of being together were in a pub and there was a “lock-in” and our drummer, ollie, jokingly suggested it as a name, and that’s lock-in for you.
What is your genre of music?
we don’t like to pigeonhole ourselves, we feel as if we saunter from genre to genre, with elements of funk, indie, rock, soul, it’s all there.
Give us a little bio about you?
We’re a 5-piece band from in and around London, but not only are we a band, we’re just 5 mates that love creating music together
What made you go into music and who influenced you?
Arctic monkeys were the first band that I really fell in love with, and they still hold the title for my favourite band to this day, but it was bands like viola beach (rip), blossoms, and more recently sports team, that made the idea of being in a band more attainable, also musical legends such as, David bowie and bill withers influenced me greatly

No we’re not signed – (yet !)
You released your new single ‘ Get Over It’ tell us more about the single.
It’s a song that we’ve had in the catalogue for about a year, and we’ve loved it from it’s genesis
Describe the tracks in two words.
oppressively groovy
Who did you work with on the song?
We worked with Curtis Elvidge, who’ve worked with some great acts in the past in (the magic gang), it was such a good experience. We recorded at premises in hackney – well defo be returning.
Will we see a music video for the track?
With all the current restrictions it hadn’t really been a possibility as of yet, but it’s something we’d love to look into.
Will we see an EP or album and if so, what can we expect?
We have plans for an ep later on in the year, and we’re gonna pour our heart and soul into these tunes and hope that you people love them as much as we do
What else can we expect in early 2021?
Without giving away too much, we have a lot to look forward to this year, and we can’t wait to let them flee from the proverbial nest into the wider world
