What’s the story of the band’s name?

Added Color comes from additive colors. It’s about self expression, acceptance, and integration without B.S. We want people to accept and celebrate the “added color” that they bring to the world, and support others in that quest.

Your single “Same Place” was released earlier this year. Why did you choose this song as the first single, and what is is about?

It’s a dystopian take on modern day society. We chose it first because we felt it was a good look at the new batch of songs. We came back from Morocco with a video that was awesome because of our director, Patrick Caracas’ ability to capture our attitude and the tour.

You are set to release Mr. Industry EP on April 20, what can fans expect?

The real Added Color

What was the writing and recording process of the EP like?

We wrote about 20 songs. We played them live and felt them out until we chose the five on Mr. Industry.

Recording was awesome because it was done with a circle of friends that are awesome professionals. That’s how we always do it. Johann Meyer and Jamie Uertz from Gojira’s Silver Cord Studios, Fadel Dabien and Vitor Hirsch. We’re lucky to have our crew.

What was the inspiration behind the new EP Mr Industry?

The corporate mentality that’s prostituting our industry. Working hard is key, but you have to work for what you believe in…not to be a part in what is popular.

You have some upcoming tour dates across the east coast, as well as a series of dates in Morocco. What are your live shows like?

We always bring everything we have. Not every show is the same because we are human, but you’re getting the tightest execution mixed with the most amount of energy we can physically offer.

How did you establish such a strong fan base in Morocco?

Danny is half Moroccan. We were invited to tour in 2017 and it was a huge success. We’re super pumped to be going back!

What else can we expect from you this year? More touring, videos, etc.

US tour in the summer going though New England and the Southeast. Keep up on  www.addedcolor.com

Animated video for “Panic Attack” by our friend Stephen Sues coming very soon. It’s ridiculous!

Do you have any collaborations coming up with any upcoming artists?

Our upcoming video for “Panic Attack” is a collaboration with BK animator Stephen Sues. We love his work as an artist and think he’s definitely up and coming.

We’re also collaborating with our friend, author Alison Lea Sher, for our EP release show in NYC on 5/19. She has an amazing book -Millennials Guide to Changing the World coming out around the same time as Mr. Industry. The book mirrors many of the themes discussed on the EP.

Would you be up for collaborations if other musicians wanted one with you? (and who would they have to contact?)

Definitely! info@addedcolor.com

What was the song you listened to most that influenced you to go more into the music scene?Tim: Drunkship Of Lanterns – Mars Volta

What’s the best advice you have ever been given?

Tim: Work hard, play hard
Danny: Until you give up the idea that happiness is somewhere else, it will never be where you are.

What advice would you give to aspiring musicians not about the industry and just as an artist?

Find an artistic crew and always support each other. Become a family! Make sure everyone that is working with you is ALL IN
