How did you come up with the bands name and tell us about you as a act?
We wanted to keep it simple so we just went with our names KimKat
What is your genre of music?
We play a lil bit of everything but mainly House and hiphop
Give us a little bio about you as a duo and individuals.
We’re based in Los Angeles, Kat is from Moscow , Russia and kim was born in Los Angeles, Ca. Kat moved to la and met me on John Legend’s music video set and we became friends ever since then
How long have you been doing music?
Kim : I’ve been playing the piano since I was 8 and Kat plays also. We been dj’n together about 4 years now
What made you go in to music?
Well I love music and it’s my passion
What made you go in to DJ’ing?
Kim : I’m good friends with the Black Eyed Peas and Apl de ap encouraged us and so Kat and I went to SCRATCH Academy in LA and just learned
Tell us more about any of your new music you have planned.
We’re currently in the middle of making new music right now. What’s hard is finding the sound we really like since I love house music and Kat loves big room sound so we’re trying figure what we really wanna do as far as sound
Whats the background story of your music?
Well we started playing straight edm in the beginning and it’s just really high energy music that we love and when we first released our collab with our friend Whyel. We were going with Melbourne bounce sound and now that music is changing we’re adapting with what’s going on.
Will you be releasing a Mix? EP Or Album?
We’ll be releasing a ep
Do you play any instruments?
Yes I play the piano. I’ve been playing since I was 8 and I can pretty much play any song.
Who are your influences?
I love Prince and Alicia Keys. They inspire me to play the piano and because of Prince I always wanted to learn how to play the guitar
Will you be doing any gigs or a Tour in the UK or abroad?
Yes! We’re in the middle of planning our UK tour now
If you are, where are will you be heading?
Most likely London first then Manchester, Liverpool
How do you get inspiration to write songs?
From experiences or listening to other music
Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
Married??kids ? Haha jk who knows definitely gonna take over the world by then 🙂
When you’re not doing music, what do you do?
I love reading, working out, playing the piano, spending time with my family

Adele and Elton John and there’s so many more

Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Kanye West, Skrillex and much more

Creamsfield! Anywhere would be awesome 🙂

Ultra Miami and EDC Vegas
What was the song you listened to most that influenced you to go more in to the music scene?
Duke Dumont is one of my fav. I love his music. It has this cool 80’s sound
You are also an actress, whats the best job you have had in TV?
I was on the Amazing Race Vietnam. It was an incredible experience. I’m very competitive so I love challenging my self.
If you could get one of your Mixes on a TV show, which would it be?
Hmm.. Entourage if it was still on. Breaking Bad.
What’s the best advice you have ever been given?
To give your all. If you’re gonna do something make sure u give your all or nothing at all
What advice would you give to aspiring musicians not about the industry and just as an artist?
To work hard and know that the only person who’s gonna do it is u! U want success the ball is on your court
