How old are you? As old as I feel 🙂
What is your genre of music? My genre of music I find is a hard one to call. I don’t enjoy one genre of music in particular and I don’t write within one genre either. The biggest influence behind my music is feeling. I sit down with a feeling to write with rather than an idea. Even I don’t know what’s going to come out! It just happens. Let’s say I’m an acoustic songwriter but with a big band and plenty of sass! haha.

Give a Little Bio of yourself. I’m singer/song-writer but started out dancing, acting and being a TV Presenter for Disney channel. My career has been a very mixed one, never know what i’m going to be up to next! But i like that, i find it exciting. I first stepped into my professional career at 15 when i won a singing/dancing talent competition on Disney Channel “You’re The Star” then I went onto working for Disney another year after that, where I learnt the art of being a TV Presenter, and co-presented a show called “My School Musical”. I then flew to Salt Lake City, Utah to work on the set of High School Musical 3 for Disney’s “Movie Surfer’s”, interviewing the cast and showing Disney viewers behind the scenes of the film. Then I went into Theatre and got back to acting again. Did a number of plays, my favourite being a comedy play called “And This Was Odd”, before landing the  role of Laura in Dreamboats and Petticoats the UK tour. I toured the show for a year before being transferred into London’s West End playing at the beautiful Wyndham’s Theatre in Leicester Square. After that I co-wrote and produced a brand new TV show with David Ribi, played the role of Zoe in BBC Doctors and presented 2 more shows for Disney Channel “The Disney Channel Dance Along” & “Dance With Disney Junior”

How long have you been doing music? Music has been part of my life always, in some way or another. I’ve been writing music in my spare time for the last 5 – 6 years. I love putting my stories into song. Writing music, for me, It’s like writing a journal.

What made you go into music? My family have bought me up around music and my Dad is musical. My Mom and Dad actually met in a band. So i’d have to say my parents mainly. I just got hooked from a young age.

Are you a Signed Artist? I’m independent. Currently I like this. I get to write the way I want to and that’s important to me, particularly right now. Who knows though, maybe in the future.

Who are your influences? People, experiences, life… For me, that’s what gives music soul. If a song has been written with no feeling behind it, I find it very boring. There are two artists that I have been listening to endlessly for months and months now and that’s Tori Kelly and Melissa Polinar. The amount of heart and soul that goes into their music is so great, I could listen to them forever.

You have a new EP coming out soon, can you tell us more about it? Of course! Well it’s my first EP titled “Going My Way” which will include 5 more original songs. You’ll hear the sweet sounds of my ridiculously talented band who have bought my music to life. They’re great friends and support me immensely. Elliot Blower – Drums, Dino Franchi – Keys, Aidan Underhill – Guitar, Mike Groves – Bass and then of course me singing away and playing guitar. Natt Webb has produced the EP who has been great to work with! They’re a great bunch.

What’s your favourite track you recorded off the EP? Ooh, that’s a hard question! They all mean something to me. I think the track and first release though “Going My Way” is special. It’s something we can all relate to at some point in our lives and I hope the song can give at least one of 2 messages. You’re not alone and life always finds a way.

Is there a meaning behind the whole EP or are there a whole lot of meaning depending on tracks? There are meanings behind each track. They’re all about love of course, from all angles… I hope people can find a connection to my stories and again, not feel alone.

Will we be seeing a lot more gigs from you in 2015,if so where abouts will you be going?

I shall be starting to book gigs the end of this month, no locations yet though 🙂 I’ll tweet them!

How do you get inspiration to write songs?

Through life experiences, allowing plenty of time to daydream, by taking in my surroundings and by allowing myself to simply feel.

Where is your dream place to perform in USA?

I’m kind of boring, I try not to think too far ahead. I’m just concentrating on the now really. However, when I was in LA a couple of years ago, I saw a gig at The Roxy. It’s only a small venue, but I just remember it having a cool, laid back, atmosphere. Be cool if me and the guys played there sometime.

Where is your dream place to perform in UK?

Again, I’m kinda boring… Let’s go wild and say the O2 Arena or Wembley!!

If you could go on Tour with any Singer or Band from UK who would it be and why?

I like Paloma Faith for her originality, so maybe Paloma.

If you could go on Tour with any Singer or Band from USA who would it be and why?

Could I go on a small tour with the likes of Tori Kelly and Melissa Polinar? That would suit me.

Where do you see yourself in 2-5 years?

Hopefully… happy, doing what I love whilst surrounded by lovely, grounded, genuine people. That’s what life’s about right? … That and good food!

If you weren’t doing music what would you be doing?

Well I already have lots of different jobs. But if I had to do something that had nothing to do with performing, I’d work with animals for sure.

Who is your favourite Artist or Band at The Moment?

Artists/bands that I constantly listen to right now would be: Dirty Loops, Tori Kelly, Melissa Polinar and been listening to quite a bit of Frank Ocean recently.

If you got a tv show or film interested in your music, which one would you let your music be played on?

If I for some reason didn’t agree with what the show or film was promoting, then i wouldn’t agree to it. For me, too much media, whether it be film or music, promote the wrong things in life and so if I felt that way about it, then I’d say no. I want to promote the more positive, more meaningful side of life. There’s not enough of that.
