Phillip James Taylor

Paul Bruce

David Morris

What is your band’s Genre?

Phil: Post-Hardcore

Joel: Alternative Rock

Give us a little bio of the band and you guys as individual.

Phil: 4 guys having fun and having a great time making music and playing shows. Paul= The chilled out voice of reason. Dave=Mad drummer boy. Loves his drums and drinking 😉 Joel=Enjoys his road bikes, music production and video games.

Paul: We’re a new band and we’re still finding our way. Phil is the most excited person I’ve ever met! He can keep up with the speed I write at too!

Where did you get the band name from?

Paul: it was suggested by Dave actually after the Henry Rollins album ‘End Of Silence’ I mistyped it to Phil as ‘End The Silence’ by text. It stuck. I think it sums up what bands do.

Who does what in the band? (I.e. who does the vocals, who plays what, who writes the songs?)

Phil – Vocals, Joel – Guitar, Paul – Guitar, Dave drums.

Paul: At the moment, I’m writing most of the music and Phil does all the Vocals and Lyrics. Everyone has a say though. Dave and Joél will always suggest improvements. Usually for the better!

Are You Signed?

Paul: Not yet!

What instruments do you play?

Phil: None in this band, I sing but I can play drums!

Paul: I’m a guitarist first, but can play drums and a bit of piano.

Joel: I play guitar in the band. I am able to play a few other instruments and enjoy singing, too.

Dave: I’m a drummer boy through and through 🙂

How did the band come about?

Phil: Got talking and wanted to join!

Paul: I wanted to make something more melodic than my last band. I started jamming with Dave then the other guys and it worked!

Dave: I went to see Paul’s previous band and immediately thought it was a band I’d like to be in. After dragging Paul along to jam for a band I was playing in he asked me to join his band when the drum throne became available I didn’t have to think about it !

How did you guys meet?

Phil: In a Bar.

Paul: I met Phil in a Wetherspoons after finding him online. I met Dave while working with him. I met Joél through Phil.

Joél: I’ve known Phil since 2007 through previous bands. He asked me to come for a practice with Paul and Dave and we’ve been jamming ever since!

Dave: Paul and I work together we got chatting and been mates from then, Phil came to jam with us in all his nervous energy he was bouncing off the walls 😀 he brought Joel along who instantly blew us away when he started playing !!

How did music come in to your lives and when did you start doing it?

Phil: Listening to Blink 182 at college to block out people.

Paul: When my dad gave me his record collection to listen to aged about 11. Lots of Led Zep and Black Sabbath. After that I needed to play guitar. Haven’t put it down since!

Joél: My dad worked for British Forces Radio whilst I was growing up, and my mother is quite musical. I don’t remember a time where music wasn’t a big part of my life.

Dave: I think my brother is responsible for my musical taste by force feeding me bands like Yes,Rush,The smiths,The cure and a whole host of others from an early age.we started a band when I bought a drumkit at around 16

When will you be releasing material?

Phil: 2 or 3 weeks we are planning on releasing a new single.

Paul: It’s the follow up to ‘Show Me How To Feel’ we put out about a month ago. It’s a change of pace from that one.

How do you get inspiration to write songs?

Phil: What I go through in life. I tend to write about me. like what i am going through. I’ve had a lot of bad break ups, so writing this down keeps me sane.

Paul: for me it always starts with a riff! I wake up with them in my head sometimes. I like music that has a bit of emotional depth, so I think I write like that also.

Where do you see the band in 2-5 years time?

Phil: finished E.P and Album, having fun playing shows with our favourite bands.

Phil: Download Festival been a fan of that festival since I was very young.

Joél: Rock in Rio would be sweet. Hopefully with a live show to rival Iron Maidens!

Dave: I love playing so anywhere with music fans is good by me !

If you could do collaboration with anyone who would it be?

Phil: Don Broco. I find (Rob’s) voice very unique. I like it when artists are different.

Paul: it would have to be Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) massive fan!

Joél: Deadmau5. We’d make some ridiculous progressive house/ metal hybrid.

Dave: The legend that is Henry Rollins.

If you wasn’t doing music what would you’s be doing?

Phil: Working in Tesco

Paul: hanging out with my wife!

Joél: Studying!
