We just wanted something simple and wanted to be known by our names.

Give us a little bio about you as a band
Where storytelling, modern country and sensational harmonies meet you’ll find modern pop-country duo Emma & Jolie. Having first met at music college in 2015, the pair were instant best friends, bonding over their shared love for Taylor Swift, and have been inseparable ever since. When they started writing songs and recording covers together for fun, it very quickly became apparent that they captured something very special as a duo and that was just the start of their musical journey together.

What made you go into music?
We’ve both always loved music since a young age, and started songwriting together when we were in college. When we got together as a duo we knew we wanted to pursue this as a career.

Who are your influences?
Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift, Maren Morris and Ariana Grande.

Are you signed?
Not at the moment, no.

You released your new single ‘All That Glitters’, tell us more about the single.
The song is about knowing that someone isn’t good for you, but you can’t help but go back, they may look shiny and amazing but they’re really just fool’s gold.

What is the meaning behind the single?
It’s about self-awareness and knowing when you’re in love with the wrong person, but can’t help but be in love with them.

What was the writing and recording process like?
It took us about 2 hours to write this song with Adam Fitzgerald, it was a really fun song to write, We then went to the studio a few months later and recorded it.

Who did you work with on the single?
We wrote it with Adam Fitzgerald, and recorded it with Graeme Young at chamber studios.

Will we see a Music Video for the single and if so what was the creative process like?
Yes one will be coming very soon! We just wanted to make it fun and glittery!

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
We would love to have a growing fanbase in Nashville and be able to go out and perform there more. It would be a dream to do a headline tour and be signed to a major label.

You can’t be everyone cup of tea!
