What is your name?
Hadlie-Jo
What is your genre of music?
My music style is a mixture of classic country with a new, youthful flair. I’ve always said that I was Louisiana born, Texas raised, and Tennessee bound, so I try to make my music represent that.
Give us a little bio about you.
I have always been around music, I started taking vocal lessons when I was seven but began competing in dance at 8. Dance then became #1 in my life. In 2020, at age 12, a freak accident ended my dance career. So, I used musical instruments for my physical therapy, which is how I began my music career.
What made you go into music?
I’ve always had a deep connection to music through all phases of my life. During COVID, I began homeschooling and used instruments for physical therapy and as learning tools. That then inspired me to learn how to write songs!
Who are your influences?
My biggest influences are Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, & Don Williams!
Are you a signed?
I am so excited to be a part of the Sony Music team, in partnership with Great DAANE Music. I’ve always dreamed of writing songs for other people, and now my team has made that a possibility! I’m extremely thrilled to see what’s in store for the future.
You released your new song ‘THINGS’, tell us more about the song and the meaning behind it.
I wrote “THINGS” with Jimmy Melton & Mikey Mobley after a scary night in Nashville in the Summer of 2025, when tornadoes came through and destroyed areas around us. It was such a devastating loss and we wanted to connect with people through this story.
Describe the track in two words.
Heartfelt, Relatable.
What was the writing and recording process like?
Getting in the room with Jimmy & Mikey that day was absolutely magical. “THINGS” started off as a simple conversation about the storms the night before in Tennessee. Then before we knew it, we had a special song.
Who did you work with on the song?
Jimmy Melton, Mikey Mobley, and myself.
Will we see a music video for ‘Things’ and if so can you tell us about the creative process.
We actually just released a visualizer for THINGS that showcases a mini story coinciding with the lyrics. It is officially out on YOUTUBE!
Will we see a new EP or Album and if so what can we expect from the creative process.
There will be an EP or Album at some point, but right now it is not my main focus. We are still trying to connect with fans, play live shows, and build an HJ FAN CLUB before we drop a big project!
Will we see any live shows or a tour coming up or in planning, if so what can you tell us about it?
YES! I will be playing quite a few shows this year in several different states! There will be acoustic shows, band shows, & writer rounds!
Where will we be able to buy tickets from?
You can find tickets on my website www.hadliejomusic.com
What else can we expect in 2026?
Lots of interviews, shows, new music, photoshoots, visualizers and a few behind-the-scenes things!
Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
In five years, I see myself headlining the Ryman, playing the Opry frequently, working with children’s hospitals, releasing a book series, getting a few more writer’s cuts under my belt, and hopefully playing arenas!
What quote or saying do you always stick by?
“Everybody has a story, I’m singing mine”.
When you are at a gig, what are 5 things you cannot forget?
To engage with the crowd, take the audience on an emotional rollercoaster, never let anyone feel left out, drink pineapple juice and water with lemon before singing, and smile until your cheeks hurt!
Do you have social media accounts so your fans can follow you?
You can follow me on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube & Tiktok – @hadliejomusic(and stream my music wherever you listen to yours!)
