How did you come up with the bands name?
Clochàin is stepping stones. The word stepping stones kept coming up within our lives and we realised every gig we do and every song we write is a step to the top.
Give us a little bio about you.
We are Clocháin. We reside in Edenderry County Offaly, Ireland.
We are laid back and just want to play music. We like meeting people and getting involved in the scene anyway we can.
What made you go into music?
I’m playing guitar, singing and writing a few year now and I got into it during lockdown. Brian then picked up the bouzouki years after when we seen amble
Who are your influences?
Amble is a big band to us and we love covering their songs. They have a big influence on the style.
Are you a signed?
We are independent.
Tell us mor about who you are, your sound and original music you have planned to get out.
We have been working on music the past year Or so and are taking it more seriously and we hope to have a few songs out by the end of the year. This would be a huge goal to hit for us.
Tell us about your creative process when writing and recording your songs.
When writing we usually bounce off each other. Once we get a melody down the rest just comes naturally. When writing lyrics it’s important for us to agree on what we’re trying to get across.
Will we see any live shows or a tour coming up or in planning, if so what can you tell us about it?
Live shows we are expecting to play at a few small venues across Ireland in the coming year.
What else can we expect in 2026?
You can expect great original songs and sound.
Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
In 5 years we are hoping to be making a living out of what we love. Which is playing and writing.
