What is your name? 
Seye Odebiyi

What is your genre of music?
I like to think that I do a little bit of everything – R&B, Hip Hop, Soul, Disco, Lo-Fi

Give us a little bio about you.
So I grew up in Nigeria singing in a choir and then started playing the piano when I was10 years old. I got into music production and writing in my teens and then went on to study in England. Fast forward to today, I live in Canada and then the pandemic hit and I just kind of dusted off my music (which had been shelved for years) as something to do and I just found my love for it again

What made you go into music?
I have always been in music since I was a kid and it has always been with me ever since

Who are your influences?
There is quite a few – From Michael Jackson, Boyz to Men, Earth, Wind and Fire, Gorillaz,Jamiroquai.

Are you signed?
No

You released your latest Single ‘A Walk With You’, tell us more about the single  and the meaning behind the song. 
I wanted to do an R&B song with talked about meeting someone for the first time, having a moment and going for a walk with them where it feels like it is just you and her in the world and no one else.

Chill, Smooth

What was the writing and recording process like?
The writing part was interesting as I write my songs in notebooks and I have several pages of crossed out lines, changed lyrics but its always fun. Recording and mixing it is the icing on the cake as I like to take time with that as well, making sure that I get things write

Who did you work with on the single?
It was all me on this track but looking to collaborate with someone on my next project

Can we expect a music video and if so tell us more about the making. 
Yes. There is a music video out on YouTube and hopefully it captures the mood of the song.

Can we expect an Album or EP and If so, what can we expect from it?
So I always plan to continue to release singles as opposed to albums for now but never say never. I just enjoy the process of making music and let’s see where it takes me next

Do you have any live shows coming up? 
I may have something lined up in Toronto soon but watch this space
