BORN IN MONTGOMERY,AL TO A FAMILY OF MUSIC-LOVING PEOPLE ‘CALEB HYLES’ SET HIS SIGHTS ON THE STAGE AND WE WANT TO LET YOU KNOW MORE ABOUT WHO HE IS AND HIS MUSIC. READ OUR CHAT BELOW.

What is your name?
Caleb Hyles!

What is your genre of music?
A little bit of everything involving rock, but more specifically: hard rock, alt rock and metal.

Give us a little bio about you.
A little bio? (Laughs) Well, I was born in Montgomery, AL to a family of music-loving people. Mom and Dad were both performers, although they ended up pursuing far less glamorous careers, advertising and radio hosting, respectively. I love basketball, video games, and birdwatching. As a new father, playing with my daughter has become a new joy of mine, too.

What made you go into music?
Being around music all the time made it feel natural, honestly. After years of uploading amateur cover music to the internet I had a video go viral back in 2014, and I chased that success while working and doing college. Thankfully, it worked out!

Who are your influences?
It’s both cheesey and cliché but my parents are my biggest influence. They’ve supported me every step of the way.

Are you a signed artist?
Techinically, yes! Although I also do plenty of independent releases. I am signed by the label “Judge & Jury” for all of my ‘heavier’, original music releases.

You released your latest single ‘Unparalyzed,’ tell us more about the single  and the meaning behind the song.
For sure! This is one of my “Judge & Jury” releases and it was in collaboration with Trevor McNevan of Thousand Foot Krutch. Simply put, the song is about recognizing where, in life, we are being held back. And with that recognition, starting the process of moving into a chapter of healing and recovery.

Describe the track in two words.
Waking up.

What was the writing and recording process like?
Very fast and very collaborative. The song was recorded and produced within a single month. Often times, when you’re presented with an incredible opportunity in the music industry, you have to be ready to jump on it. That was the journey of “Unparalyzed.”

Who did you work with on the single?
Dustin Bates was actually the originator of the song’s idea. He sent over a demo of the draft chorus to Teerawk [Trevor McNevan], seeing if he wanted to do anything with it, because Starset wasn’t going to be using it as their music had went in a different direction. Trevor remembered conversations he had with the label I’m on, “Judge & Jury,” and suggested that we take the song and make it our own.

Can we expect a music video and if so tell us more about the making of the video.
It’s already out! It, too, was fast and furious in its creation. Circus Head was the director and producer of the video and they were such a pleasure to work with. They sent over the shot list and told us to get in front of a big green screen, so we knocked all of that out within a week and CH did the rest!

Can we expect an Album or EP and If so, what can we expect form it?
Yes to the Album! Hopefully, a Spring/Summer 2025 release. If you have enjoyed any or all of my singles with my label, you will *love* this album. We saved a lot of the more “intense” songs for the album, just so we can have some banger deep cuts for the fans.

Do you have any live shows coming up?
I do conventions often because of my cover work on YouTube so I’ll be in Wisconsin later this year and maybe Portland.

Let us know where we can get tickets if so.
For sure! Once they’re up for sell, I’ll let you know!

What else can we expect in 2024?
An Album release date announcement and more covers from yours truly!

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
Taking my kids to school with my wife, playing 2k30 with my boys, and touring the nation supporting my sophomore album! (Laughs)

What quote or saying do you always stick by?
I live by the “Fruits of the Spirit”: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Self-Control.

When you are at a gig, what are 5 things you cannot forget?
Water, water, water, merch, water.

Do you have social media accounts so your fans can follow you?
I make it easy! Just search “Caleb Hyles” on whichever app you prefer and you’ll find me!
