What are  your names?
Bayu is our vocalist and guitarist, Vito is our bassist, Ericko is our lead guitarist, and Ariq is our drummer

What is the band’s name
Hi, we go by the name of Vanishing Muffins

What is your genre of music?
We like to think that we are playing “Noise Pop” genre

What made you go into music?
The 4 of us had different paths of what got us into music and all of us has our own taste in music but somehow we found the connecting line between our references to make things work and for our love of playing music.

Who are your influences?
We were influenced by many bands such as The Jesus and Mary Chain, Chapterhouse, Pale Saints, The Shop Assistants, and many more. 

Are you a signed?
No, we’re not signed to any label currently but our EP was released by  our friend, Shore Dive Records (Brighton, UK)


You released your latest EP ‘Central’, tell us more about the EP  and the meaning behind the song. 
This is our first ever EP, with our newest line-up. The process of making this EP was rather quick. It took us around 2 months to release this EP. The songs in this EP portray our personality both as individuals and as one entity (band)

What was the writing and recording process like?
Bayu wrote all the music of this EP. We rehearsed and tweak the songs in the studio for about a month or so before recording them. The whole process took us approximately 2 months.

Who did you work with on the EP?
We had a lot of help from our friends Stevan and Girash to record this EP at their studio Gest Audio Lab in Depok, Indonesia. And for promotional stuffs, our friend Kareem Nararya from Matakiri Kibas Studio helped us with our photoshoot. 

Can we expect a music video and if so tell us more about the making. 
It’s happening later this year. We’re still in the early stages so there’s not much to say about it actually

Do you have any live shows coming up? 
Unfortunately, no. But we’re working on it and hopefully soon.

What else can we expect in 2024?
We are working on a new single and we are planning to release end of year.

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
In 5 years, we hope we already have an impact to the scene where we can be an example of how to thrive in music with your songs as your main weapon.

What quote or saying do you always stick by?
“Be romantic and be bad at it”

When you are at a gig, what are 5 things you cannot forget? 
Our instruments, our “Twee aint noise pollution” pin, our black clothing piece, our drinks, and the mindset to have fun.
