How did you come up with the bands name?
REDSIX is the call sign for Jek Porkins’ X-wing in Star Wars
What is your genre of music?
We think a nice umbrella term for our music is currently progressive metal
Give us a little bio about you.
REDSIX was founded in 2018, as a final project for an audio engineering degree.
What made you go into music?
All our members were exposed to music and musicians from a young age, so it was very natural for us to decide to create music and become musicians
Who are your influences?
The members of REDSIX listen to and grew up with various genres of music on a very wide spectrum, but we are currently applying inspiration from bands such as Periphery, Architects, Tool, and Pierce the Veil.
Are you a signed?
Yes, we had the very exciting opportunity to sign to, and are currently under, Redrose Records. Redrose Records was founded by decorated Indonesian Artist Isyana Sarasvati and her team.
You released your latest Single ‘Part 1: Diagnostics’, tell us more about the single and the meaning behind the song.
‘Part 1: Diagnostics’ is a maxi single, containing 3 songs. The songs revolve around newfound hardships entering life into the 30s, where problems that may arise have darker and deeper tones.

What was the writing and recording process like?
Redrose records very much supported originality and creativity, which really solidified the tone for the songwriting and recording process, having us feel like we could try any ideas and approaches.
Who did you work with on the single?
Besides being produced by Redrose records, we worked with the same core team this time around, to have a little bit of familiar grounding as we experimented with entering a new genre.
Can we expect a music video and if so tell us more about the making.
We will definitely let you know as soon as we do, so stay tuned!
Can we expect an Album or EP and If so what can we expect form it?
We plan to release subsequent “Parts” within the coming months as singles or maxi singles, which will hopefully culminate in a album comprising of all the “Parts” and new additional tracks. Hopefully if all goes well the album should show up on your radar early to mid-2025.
