POP-PUNK TRIO ‘GOALKEEPER’ ARE READY TO SET A HIGH SCORE WITH THEIR NEW SINGLES AND A FULL LENGTH ALBUM! A MASTERFUL SOUND AND BIG PERSONALITIES WE GOT A CHANCE TO CHAT WITH THEM TO GET THE LOWDOWN ON EVERYTHING THEY ARE UP TOO.

What are your names?
Marc Juliano, Ryan Beebe, & Cody Ritichie

What is the bands name?
Goalkeeper

How did you come up with the bands name?
Just tossed around a bunch of different ideas and this one was our favorite! Has some personal meaning to us as well which helps!

What is your genre of music?
Pop punk

Give us a little bio about you.
Started in 2016 with the goal of just being the fun, goofy pop punk band. To our surprise, some of our songs gained some traction and we were able to play some really awesome shows. Played with some artists we only dreamed of playing with which is still mind blowing. We also get to tour and actually meet people from all over who love our music. From there we decided to buckle down and take it more seriously. Still growing and learning every day!

What made you go into music?
Seeing live music and starting to find our favourite bands. We all remember those times where we told ourselves this is what we wanted to do. Just needed to find the people we could call best friends and take on the world with!

Who are your influences?
Blink-182, The Wonder Years, The Menzingers, Man Overboard, New Found Glory. Tons of classic rock artists as well though such as Billy Joel, CCR, and more!

Are you a signed?
Yeah! Lost Music Collective

You released your two singles already, tell us more about the two and how they are different from each other.
Sooner was more about a singular moment in time between two people whereas Car Wreck describes a relationship that is set for a “wreck” but the two people ride it out anyhow. We wanted to match the music to those stories so Sooner is more mid-tempo and Car Wreck is more upbeat.

Who did you work with on the single?
Kevin Mahoney (Hit the Lights) and Nik Bruzzese (Man Overboard)!

We are also going to see a full album from you. Tell us about the naming process of the album, how it came about and anything else you would like us to know about it.
We kept coming back to the title and just felt it told the story of the album in one sentence. We pushed ourselves to expand how we write and what we do as a band and think a lot of cool, unique songs came from that!

Describe each track in two words.
We’ll make it easy and say “F%*& YEAH!” because that’s what we hope everyone says after each song!

What else can we expect in 2022?
We have the tour coming up and some holiday shows!

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
Hopefully doing this!

What quote or saying do you always stick by?
Everybody Karate

When you are at a gig, what are 5 things you cannot forget?
