No description available.

What is your name?
Justice Jenkins aka LOCS

What is your genre of music?
Hip-Hop/Rap

Give us a little bio about you.
Born and raised in Ohio. Started music in 2017 while I was in college. I have a home in Georgia now near Atlanta, GA. I record, produce, mix and master my music from my home as well.

What made you go into music?
It started on the bus home from school or football games where me and my friends would freestyle for fun. Fast forward to college and I had a teammate who’s into music production and would let us come by the dorm to record and have fun. It developed into a passion once my writing and songs became better and I decided to start doing things professionally in my room. Here I am today making songs for thousands of ears.

Who are your influences?
Drake, JCole, Kendrick Lamar, Logic, Big Sean. I’d say those are my big five even though I gather influence from things I hear as Hip Hop/Rap evolves.

Are you signed?
No. I’m currently independent.

You released your new single ‘On Top’, tell us more about the single.
On Top is a song that came about working with a music producer named “Wolves”. We were brought together by a music company “Position Music”. There were a list of things we were trying to accomplish during the many sessions we had last year and when Wolves put on that instrumental “On Top” came to mind quickly.

What is the meaning behind the single?
I enjoy making music that gives the listener a sense of empowerment and I feel like it does that. When you listen to “On Top” it gives you that best in the room, best in the world, best at whatever you do feeling.

What was the writing and recording process like?
The writing process was interesting for me because it’s one of the first time I’ve had a central theme to a song. I usually write and record whatever comes to mind and of course those things relate in a way but not as much. I believe it has made me a better writer and artist as a result.

Describe the track in two words.
On Top! Doesn’t get better than that.

Who did you work with on the single?
Producer: Wolves
Amazing guy with a crazy amount of talent. He knows how to put the vibes together and bring life to the track.

We are also set to see your next single ‘Get Up’, tell us more about what we can expect from It.
Get Up is a track that will have a stadium hype and ready to play for sure. Can’t wait for it to release.

You collaborated with King Flexx, tell us more about how that came about and what was the session like when you both hit the studio?
The collaboration was thrown out there by Wolves who had done work with King Flexx before. I was excited about it and the session was great. King Flexx is super talented and gets straight to work. I feel like King Flexx fills the track perfectly and brings some excitement.

Will we see a Music video for ‘Get Up’, what can we expect from the creative process?
It’s been brought up in discussion. We’ll have to talk more to see what that looks like but I would expect it to be nothing less than amazing.

Will we see an EP or Album and if so, can you give us a teaser of what to expect?
On Top and Get Up will appear on my EP titled “Anomaly” that releases 04-08-2022. It’s a dynamic EP with different elements. While sticking to my Hip-Hop/Rap foundation; I also opened up to new styles that sets me apart from others. The instrumentals are sure to keep you hype and the energy is radiant.

Do you have any live shows or a tour coming up and if so let us know where we can catch you at?
I have a show 04-07-2022 at Bar Lubitsch in West Hollywood. I’m super excited to be on that stage again.

What else can we expect in 2022?
In the Summer of 2022 I’m expecting to release another body of work. I produced a majority of the project myself and they’re songs I’ve been holding onto for quite some time. I’m excited for the world to see what I’ve been up to these last couple of years.

Will we see any collaborations and if so can you tell us more about them?
There definitely will be a few this year, still  getting things together to bring it about.

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
International tour sold out shows, amazing financially, spiritually, and physically.
