No description available.

Give us a little bio about you.
My name is Ty Brasel. I come from Memphis Tn, I’m 27 years old. Been doing music professionally for about 9 years

What made you go into music?
I connected with music at an early age,  it always felt like the only way I felt fully heard and understood. I wanted to be that artist for somebody who can relate to the stories I tell.

Who are your influences?
I was raised on a wide variety of music styles so I think it all factors in but the biggest influences I had when I started making music were Kendrick, Kanye, curren$y, Big KRIT, & Drake. I think more recently I’ve gotten a lot of inspiration from Post Malone, Travis Scott, & Don Toliver.

You released your latest single ‘On Me’, tell us more about the single.
It’s really a feel good song that has kind of a motivational message to it. It’s a story of triumph. And I think Jenna Wright added the perfect touch to it at the end.

What is the meaning behind the single?
I think it’s important to remember that our lives affect so many more people than just ourselves and it’s good to stay strong for those who are counting on you.

What was the writing and recording process like?
When we first started making the beat I told my producers that I just wanted to have fun with this one and see where it goes. We didn’t take ourselves too seriously with it we just had fun.

Describe the track in two words.
Inspirational, Anthemic

The single features ‘Jenna Wright’, tell us how the collaboration came about.
I had been hearing about her for a while, and when I first heard her voice I knew she was a special talent. I can’t really explain it but when we made the song it just felt like the right thing to do. I reached out to her and she came to the studio and just vibed out and it ended up turning out super dope.

We also see a Music video for ‘On Me’  what was the creative process like for the video and who did you work with on it?
I connected with my friend Joe Gonzales who did “The Power” video & he brought in Mike Folabi to direct it and mike just killed it. We had to change locations the day before the video because of some unplanned circumstances but he was calm and collected throughout the whole process. He was really easy to work with and his crew was amazing as well.

What was the inspiration behind your album?
I have a heart for people and helping them realize their potential in life. I had people in my life who inspired and encouraged me to chase after my purpose and on this project I wanted to reach back and do the same for other people. I want to show people that it’s possible to overcome what life throws at you and achieve your dreams.

Do you have any live shows or a tour coming up and if so let us know where we can catch you at?
We’re actually planning some stuff now, it’s tough to navigate with the new world we’re in but we’re trying to make it happen in the safest and best way possible.

What else can we expect in 2022?
I’m actually finishing up an album at the moment that I’ve been working on for the last few years and I’m super excited to get it out to the people. I think it’s my best work yet.

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
Hopefully still making dope music and impacting the world with my message

What quote or saying do you always stick by?
