Andrew “Drew” Salazar – bass

What is the band’s name?
We’re Wolves
How did you come up with the band’s name?
The band name comes from a hybrid of our love for horror and pun based humour. Our vocalist AJ is a huge fan of werewolf movies, especially An American Werewolf in London. The name was a great way for us to poke fun at the supernatural and not take ourselves so seriously.
What is your genre of music?
We ask ourselves that all the time. We’re somewhere between metal-core, hard rock, and rock and roll.
Give us a little bio about you.
We’re an energetically dark humour based horror rock band who just enjoys making fun quality content for people to digest. 4 of the 5 of us are Leo’s so we tend to clash heads a lot but we’re very loyal to one another and this project. Our bassist is a cancer so he hold us down lol
What made you go into music?
I think We can all agree that we didn’t get into music, music got into us. We’ve all grew up in the scene and have always had a passion for music at young ages.

Who are your influences?
We’re very big fans of the classics such as Metallica, Rob Zombie, Slipknot, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osborne, Skid Row, Alice Cooper, Anthrax, scorpions, Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit, The Misfits, Avenged Sevenfold, Machine Head, Atreyu, My Chemical Romance, and The Used.
Are you a signed?
No, we are currently unsigned.
Tells us more about you as a band and individuals?
We’re just a bunch of fun loving dudes. Took along time to find the right lineup and now I think we have the best incarnation of the band to date. We always compare ourselves to the Ninja turtles as dumb as that sounds but it describes our personalities perfectly
AJ – Leonardo the leader
Jeremy- Raphael the rebel
Tony – Donatello the nerd
Jesse – Michelangelo the party dude
Andrew- master splinter the king of wisdom and good fortune
How would you explain your sound?
It’s complex, we’re kinda ADHD when it comes to creating a song. We like variety, which we know is not popular in metal. Usual metal is very subgenre based, and we like to combine alot of styled into our sound. We’re heavily influenced by 80s, 90s, and early 2000s metal and rock and roll. We try to showcase that in our style and create songs we would have loved in high school.
Tell us more about any new original music you have coming up.
I can tell you there’s a song for everyone, and this full length is vastly different from our EP in soo many ways. We’re beyond proud of this work, and can’t wait to begin LP2 next year.
Do you have any shows coming up and if so, where?
We have 2 shows at respectables street in west palm Beach On September 11th for the limitless 10 year anniversary show, and October 22nd for our Evil Things album release. You can get tickets at Limitlessagency.com
We’re also playing this years spooky empire horror convention in Orlando on October 23rd. Tickets available at spookyempire.com
What else can we expect in 2021?
You’ll just have to wait and see. We have a lot of stuff we can’t talk about yet in the works. Let’s just say it’s gonna be an exciting couple months into the next year. All we can say now is the album is on its way and it’s refreshing.
Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
Still doing the same stuff, just on a more grand scale. We don’t like to think too far ahead or tack on heavy expectations. Just going with the flow. Preying for the best, but prepared for the worst.
What quote or saying do you always stick by?
No matter what, we always go hard.
