How did you come up with the band’s name?
In the late 2000s, Erik along with his older brother Kurt, started the band and High Street was the street perpendicular to their home in Chicago. We could see the street sign from our music studio window.

High Street is a hard rock, heavily blues -influenced group that originated in Chicago. Now based in Los Angeles, the band is igniting their generation to partake in the most authentic, stripped down, and honest type of rock and roll there is. Led by lead guitarist and songwriter Erik Findling and lead vocalist Sashank Venkatesh, the band is delivering a fresh spin on classic rock with modern day influences.
What made you get into music?
We all started music at a very young age and came from families heavily influenced by music.

Music got us through some dark days this past year and the message for this song is to stay strong through hard times and know you are not alone. Our goal with this heart-pounding track is to motivate our listeners to stay strong and give them a boost of confidence.
What is the meaning behind the single?
The song is about a person going through a traumatic episode. It’s about fighting with inner anxiety and fear until the point of realization that the only way to heal is letting go of their ego and pride to see the tough period through.
Who did you work with on the single?
The primary songwriters of the song are Erik and Sashank but the entire band produced the music.

Will we see a music video for the new single and if so what can we expect?
No but there will be a music video for another single coming out this fall.
What else can we expect in 2021?
We have 4 singles being released this fall along with the music video and a southwest tour covering Southern California, Arizona and Nevada.
