INTRODUCING COUNTRY-POP ARTIST GRACIA WHO ALSO DRAWS INSPIRATION FROM OTHER GENRES AS WELL. GRACIA RELEASED NEW SINGLE ‘HEY’ AND WE GOT THE CHANCE TO TALK ALL ABOUT IT. GIVE IT A READ HERE.

What is your names?
My name is Gracia. I go by just my first name!

What is your genre of music?
I am a country-pop artist, but I draw inspiration from many different genres

Give us a little bio about you.
I have been singing since I could talk, and one day got the opportunity to open for Luke Bryan when he just had a handful of songs out. After that, I realized I really wanted to go after it, and I found myself on the Voice on Blake’s team. Since, I have released 3 singles (in 2014, 2016, and 2018). “hey” is my first self-written release!

What made you go into music?
I have always had a passion for music and singing. It has been a constant in my life since I was a kid and I truly feel like I’m in the right place when I’m performing and creating.

Who are your influences?
I love Dolly Parton, Lady Gaga, and Halsey!

Are you a signed?
I am not! I am independent and have enjoyed that journey. Being in control of what I create is important to me.

You released your new single ‘Hey’, tell us more about the single.
I sat down and started writing this song and honestly didn’t even intend for it to become what it did (it started out being about turning 27 and how my mindset has shifted so much from what I used to be), but it kind of ended up being a love story describing how my boyfriend and I came to be. I went through a phase where I was very wild, and was doing so as a means to protect myself from getting hurt again in a relationship. And I touch on it throughout the song; the drinking and going out all the time, one night stands over a relationship, trying to keep that “being single is way better” mindset, and just doing anything and everything I possibly could to guard myself and keep myself from a potential heartbreak. But, then I meet this blue eyed guy, he shares his fries with me and is just great, and I fall in love. He’s been the absolute best!

What is the meaning behind the Single?
At its core, “hey” is about taking the dive into a relationship that is worth the risk. When you meet the right person, you might have to put your fears aside and follow your heart. It can pay off!

What was the writing and recording process like?
Tyler Cain at Bold Studios took my simple composition and lyrics and made magic! We collaborated on the entire process from there. We recorded, mixed, mastered, and produced the track in that environment together and I was really able to express myself fully for the first time.

Describe the track in two words.
Summery and sweet!

Who did you work with on the song?
Other than Tyler Cain, Lester Estelle (remotely) did the drums for the track.

We also see a music video coming soon, tell us more about the creative process.
We just wanted to have fun with the video! I wanted to bring the summer vibes of the song to the visuals, and of course, I wanted lots of pink!

Will we see an Album or EP and if so what can we expect?
2021 is bringing big things! There will be a bigger project coming your way soon enough!

What else can we expect in 2021?
More singles and fun! I’m also performing again as the world opens back up.

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
I used to say my goal was label backing, which, it still would be nice, but I think honestly my goal is just to make as much music as possible with different influences, be touring tons, and living my best life on the road in a super decked out RV. Haha. I also would love to branch out off of my own brand as an artist into owning a boutique, and a couple other cool businesses!

What quote or saying do you always stick by?
I have a multitude of quotes that inspire me in different parts of my life, so!! If I could pick a few, one is to simply be kind. Literally we have no idea what others are going through, and just being a kind person is the smallest thing you can do to make a difference in the world. Aside from that, I’m so inspired by “don’t allow anyone to dull your shine”, “find out who you are and do it on purpose” and “you’ll never do a whole lot unless you’re brave enough to try” from Dolly. Closed mouths don’t get fed!

When you are at a gig, what are 5 things you cannot forget?
I need my phone and a charger, my guitar, my wonderful boyfriend to cheer me on, a ton of water, and an outfit I feel confident in!

Do you have social media accounts so your fans can follow you?
Yes! I love interacting with fans on social media and I stay very active!
