Give us a little bio about you
Before moving to Nashville, I grew up on Long Island, NY. I grew up around music because my family loves music. My granddad always played guitar and sang old country tunes. I started writing around age 11 and just never stopped.

Official bio can be found here

What made you go into music?
I think it’s just in my blood honestly. I’ve always been around music. My grandad played guitar and my parents are huge music fans. When I got my first guitar at 10, it just felt right. I don’t know how I decided to start writing music. I just did. In high school, my choir teacher, her name was Mrs. Christy, gave me a list of female singer-songwriters to listen to. At the time, I thought she was way older and cool but now looking back she was 26 at the time and was basically still a kid herself. I really appreciate her and the effort she put into her students. She really made a huge difference in my life. I started to find my voice and my sound in high school and during college, another music professor pulled me aside and told me to keep writing, and that eventually, I will find my place in the world. Music teachers have had a huge impact on my life and are so important.

Who are your influences?
I have so many influences. I have to say Fiona Apple is a big one. Along with Bonnie Raitt. I also just have a thing for the 90s and early 2000s female singer-songwriters.

You are set to release your debut single, ‘Type Of Girl”, tell us more about the single.
I wrote ‘Type of Girl’ after trying to go out there and date. I was so frustrated with my dating life and bad choices that I sat down and wrote this. It’s really about not blaming myself for how others treated me. I’ve thought in the past, “I’m not the type of girl to…” or “If I changed this or that about myself people would treat me differently or like me better or I’d feel more like a typical feminine girl”. I realized a lot of people struggle with what femininity means and how society tells you a woman should be. I realized that there is no type of girl. Every type of girl is beautiful and worthy. It’s produced by Paul Moak and we recorded it at his studio, The Smoakstack, in Nashville with an amazing engineer and some amazing musicians. It was an honor creating art with them.

Describe the track in two words.
Self Acceptance

Will we see an EP or Album and if so, what can we expect from it?
An EP is definitely coming! The whole thing is produced by Paul Moak and I wrote all the songs independently. It’s really a look inside my brain and life. It’s kinda weird, kinda sad but really real to me.

What else can we expect in Early 2021?
I’m working on some more content and live videos. I haven’t stopped writing so who knows what will happen after this EP!

Where do you see yourself now in 5 years?
I see myself still writing, recording, and putting out music that is important to me. Hopefully, I’ll also be out on the road but who knows when that will be safe again!

What quote or saying do you always stick by?
This is cliche but my grandfather once told me “This too shall pass” when I was young and was just generally having a rough time. I always think back to it. It reminds me that whether I’m having a good or bad time, it is fleeting.

When you are at a gig, what are 5 things you cannot forget?
1. Chapstick2. Water
3. A snack (I always get hungry!)
4. A sweater (I’m always cold)
5. Headphones (In case I get nervous before and need a moment to myself).
