What is the band’s name?
Fast Color
How did you come up with the band’s name?
Kelly visited her hometown and brought a few bandanas back with her from the 40’s or 50’s, the brand name was Fast Color. She was actually the one reluctant to take the name until remembering a mushroom trip where her friend’s laughter was turning into huge bursts of fast color… It is a good visual.

Rock n’ Roll
Give us a little bio about you.
Situated over a garage in Glassell Park, California, Fast Color is a three piece frenzy – writing, rockin’ and recording every second that’s available. Made up of Kelly Larkin on vocals and guitar, Sean Doherty on lead guitar, and Aaron Frankl as rhythm section and beyond, they specialize in real rock n’ roll music. Look forward to many more releases from these guys this year.
What made you go into music?
Hm, well I think we’ve always been into music. Whatever our role is in the band, we’ve been performing that role on our own since we were young. Now we have each other as support, or a way to highlight and amplify each other’s strengths and fill in on any weaknesses… Also we are all repelled by the thought of working a 9-5! No no no noo thank you!

You are set to release your debut single ‘Love’s Got Me Boppin’ ‘, tell us more about the single.
If someone is feeling down, you do what you can to get them back to boppin! This is a little ditty about feeling that sweet combination of floating & being grounded by a new Love. It’s upbeat and simple like a lot of the OG doo-wop songs. Sean really gets a chance to shred on this one too…man, so good.

What else can we expect in Early 2021?
The plan is to release a couple more singles, an incredible music video shot on 16 mm film that we’ve been sitting on for nearly a year, and then set our EP free while we record our first full length.
Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
fame fortune sex drugs and rock n roll nurturing ourselves living in nature and being the heroes of the west coast

When you are at a gig, what are 5 things you cannot forget? Drink a little beforehand, don’t drink too much during the set, drink for free afterwards, pre-roll your joints, and it’s good to remember the instruments too.
