THREE PIECE ‘SAVING FACE’ FROM STOKE-ON-TRENT HAVE A ALR-HARD ROCK GENRE AND IS READY TO ROCK OUT THE SCENE WITH THEIR NEW SINGLE ‘EYES ON ME’ AND THIS IS JUST THE START OF 2021 FOR THEM. GET TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THEM HERE!

What are your names?
Cameron Degg – Guitar/Frontman Liam Barker – Bass Guitar Jack Adams – Drums

What is your genre of music?
This is tough but I would have to place us in the Alternative/Hard rock category

Give us a little bio about you and as a band.
We are saving face. a 3 piece band from Stoke-on-Trent previously known as “The lounge act”. We are 3 best friends who have known each other for a very long time and have been making music together ever since we first met. I (Cam) met Liam when I was in year 3 and then I met jack when I was around 14/15? for context I am 22 years old now, fastly approaching 23. We explore very serious and real themes in our music and to solidify this we only draw from real experiences we have all shared.

What made you go into music?
I know the lads have different reasons to me but my personal reason was actually my dad. When I was around the age of 10 up till 12 I used to watch my dad play guitar along to all the rock hits ;the cult and Velvet revolver as an example. then at the age of 13 I decided to finally make the move into music and my parents purchased me my first electric guitar. that was it then! could not put it down. my dad showed me a couple of chords but ultimately i am self taught from watching guitar covers and playthroughs of my favourite songs on YouTube. it all snowballed from there really!

Who are your influences?
as individuals we are so different borderline opposites honestly but as a band we really come together with this one. our influences are definitely bands such as; Biffy Clyro, Royal Blood and a not so well known band called Dead!

You released your new single ‘Eyes On Me’, tell us more about the single.
okay so this single is actually so old. it was written around early 2019 and recorded around july of the same year so way way before covid 19 showed its face. the writing process was honestly so straight forward. i originally had the intro riff and i showed it to the lads one practice. after about an hour we had all the riffs then after another hour we pretty much had the structure together as you know it now. i kind of already had bits and bobs of lyrics but nonce i latched onto my theme it was plain sailing from there!

What is the meaning behind the single?
The song is all about pushing yourself to the limit regardless of opinions. the motive is “you have a goal? Get it.” kinda thing? life is honestly so hard and far too short to be not be reaching your potential as an individual on this earth so we really want to inspire to people to just push for their happiness and to not care about the people who will inevitably try to knock you down.

Who did you work with on the single?
So our go to producer is Sam Bloor. he is is honestly a local legend for production in stoke and id honestly go as far to say one of the best producers in the Uk. sam is a genius at his craft and i cant recommend him enough.

Describe each track in two words.
Serious attitude.

Will we see a music video for ‘Eyes On Me’?
More than likely not? however, there will be a music video for a new single coming out in march…

What else can we expect in Early 2021?
More singles and potentially a couple of live sessions. Considering we cant gig currently we want to take the time to try and capture the live essence. a lot of people havent had the chance to see us live yet and i want to show them whats in store.

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
We will be a signed successful touring artist. we want fanbases all around the globe, not just the Uk and were not going to stop until that dream has come through.

What quote or saying do you always stick by?
For me personally its very much “always go to sleep content with your doings for the day because one day you might not wake up”.

When you are at a gig, what are 5 things you cannot forget?
Okay so this is super easy for us :Drum key, Setlists, Merch(coming soon), a tesco meal deal each and just back ups of absolutely everything even picks haha.
