I’m from Melbourne, Australia. I started singing at age 6 and then began to teach myself piano at 11 years old, which is when I wrote my first song. In 2010, I moved over to Canada to pursue my music career which enabled me to work with record labels in Montreal, Chicago and New York and was fortunate enough to release 3 singles while in North America and perform in different cities. After almost 7 years abroad, I returned back to Australia where I took a break from music and am now making a return with my new single “The Green Garden”

What made you go into music?
I have always had a love for music, but my Mum was the one who pushed me into doing singing lessons at the age of 6 and that got the ball rolling.

It’s a song that means a lot to me and I wanted to release it at the right time when I knew It could get a decent reception. It’s been my baby for a while and I wanted to make sure she had an opportunity to shine. I wrote it while I was in Canada and finally got to bring it to life once I was back in Australia.

What is the meaning behind ‘The Green Garden’?
It’s a happily ever after song set in a fantasy world of your own capable imagination. When you are so in love with someone that you only want them and they are your whole world. This love borders on obsession and passion and can be pure bliss. Everyone will have their own version of a happy ever after story with someone they hold dear.

I don’t think I would be able to pick one song that has inspired me or pushed me in any way. Music is just a powerful thing and lots of songs can inspire to make us feel motivated and determined.
