Labeled by Jezebel Magazine as the “Best Local Singer/Songwriter,” Erin’s notable live performances include Showtime at the Apollo, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms 2018 inauguration, and showcasing at John Maxwell Annual Leadership Conference. She has delivered seismic renditions of her original music at Sofar Sounds on multiple occasions, Impressed audiences of tens of thousands at Supercross events, and been a guest judge for Georgia Has Talent. Aside from music, Erin is also an activist and philanthropist who loves giving back to the community. She supports many charities including Relay For Life, Youth Empowerment, Children Miracle Network, Jamaica Project, Girl Talk and many other national causes. She is an ambassador for Red Beret Society and recently toured alongside an anti-bullying non-profit.

What made you go into music?
“I started in pageantry doing talent. I loved the feeling of performing and connecting with others through music. I still love that to this day!”

You released your new single ‘Lying’, tell us more about the single.
“It is a song that is hopefully relatable to everyone. We all have people that have hurt us by not being honest. It is a song that calls out the person that lied.”

What is the meaning behind ‘Lying.
”The song is a combination of personal experience and experiences my friends share with me. It is a song you can relate to and sympathize with whether you were lied to or lied to someone.”

Describe the track in two words.
“Emotional and relatable.”

Who did you work with on the Single?
“I wrote it on my guitar then went to Nashville and had Apollo LTD. produce it “

You are also featured on this years American Idol, how did that come about?
“A casting director reached out to me and we scheduled a call with him. It was last minute really and I decided to go ahead and do the audition in LA.”

What has been your best experience so far?
“ I had a lot of fun! I think meeting so many other amazing talented artists! It was so awesome to be around so many people that have the same passion as you do for music. I feel we are all so connected now. I have already written with a couple people I met and plan on having more sessions soon with others.”

What else can we expect in for the rest of 2020?
“New Music!! I am so excited to be releasing new music this year! I had a lot of shows but some are now up in the air but I plan continuing live events as soon as possible!”

Do you have any collaborations coming up with any up coming artists?
“Not right now but I am talking with a couple artists about some duets.”

Would you be up for collaborations if other musicians wanted one with you? and who would they have to contact?
“Yes! I think you can learn so much from other artists. It is such a positive experience.”

“Sam Smith, James Arthur, Jessie J, Lewis Capaldi”

How do you get inspiration to write songs?
“I listen to a lot of music. I love lyrics and get so inspired by good lyrics.

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
“Hopefully touring and winning a Grammy.”

When you’re not doing music, what do you do?
“I pretty much do music all the time but I love doing community service, hanging with my family and friends. I like the outdoors a lot too.”

What was the song you listened to most that influenced you to go more in to the music scene?
“I was pretty young when I started but I think the song “ Marry Me”by Thomas Rhett really influenced me to write songs. The song has an interesting twist and I love the words.”

What’s the best advice you have ever been given?
“To be patient. My goal is a long term career doing what I love.”

What advice would you give to aspiring musicians not about the industry and just as an artist?
“To be yourself and find your lane. You have to love what you do and you can’t do that if you don’t know what you want out of your music.”

What quote or saying do you always stick by?
“ I don’t have a particular saying or quote but I do try to remember that we are given gifts by God and I do not want to ever not use it or take advantage of it.”

Where in your hometown is a must go to visit?
“There is a great place that you can stop and see the mountain called Burnt Mountain Overlook. It is so beautiful.”
