What are your names?
Hey I’m Crash, this is Adams. We’re Crash Adams!

What is your genre of music?
I’d probably say at the moment that our genre is pop/alternative.

How did you come up with bands name?
One of our favourite movies is Patch Adams. Everything about its message and storyline parallel’s what we’re trying to do.

Give us a little bio about you and the band.
We’ve been childhood friends for as long as we can remember. I grew up producing music and Adams grew up playing guitar. We’re trying to bring what we learned growing up around music to our own sound. We spent the last little bit finishing an album and we’re going to be releasing it this year.

What made you go into music?
Both our families are very musical. My uncle had a recording studio my entire life so we were lucky enough to use it whenever we wanted. We believe that the best way we can speak to people is through our connection with music.

You released your new single ‘Ooh’, tell us more about the single.
It’s been doing awesome in Tik Tok and we’re happy that people are going out of their way to stream our music. Our video basically represents the scene that we were seeing in our mind as we sat down writing it. A “walking down the street” kind of vibe with everybody having some fun listening to it.

What is the meaning behind ‘Ooh’.
With “Ooh!” we worked hard creating a unique sound that belongs in the future, but is inspired by the past. We wanted to pay homage to icons that helped pave the way for the artists of my era, but we’re also pretty sarcastic so we put our own spin on it. It’s about someone who can’t master the rules of the game but they’re captivated and having a great time stumbling through it. We really tried to bring in our funky/groovy style.

Describe the track in two words.
A bop

What was the writing process like?
I wrote half the song while on the toilet, I had a wave of inspiration lol. I was just sitting there and it came to me. I then brought it to Adams who was in the studio room and we put it all together.

What was the recording process like?
We made this song about 2 years ago. We made a very rough version, and then recorded vocals. Once we laid the vocals down we made the rest. We made a version that we thought was good, finished it, and realized it could be better. So we rerecorded it recently, redid the drums and vibe and finished it again

Who did you work with on the Single?
We worked with each other, we make all of our music.

Will we see an EP or Album this year?
You’ll be seeing and EP for sure!

Do you have any shows coming up?
They pop up every now and then but we’re really trying to build our following before we tour

If so where will you be heading?
We’d love to head anywhere that loves our music!

What else can we expect in Early 2020?
We’re releasing our next single on March 27th! We’ll also be releasing a bunch more music throughout the year.

Do you have any collaborations coming up with any up coming artists?
We actually don’t have any collabs coming because we’re trying to build our brand properly first. That being said we always love getting in the studio and contributing to artists work even if we don’t have our name on it officially. It’s all about creating great music.

Would you be up for collaborations if other musicians wanted one with you? and who would they have to contact?
We’re not 100% sure at the moment but we keep an open mind. We really just have to see by getting in the studio together. Honestly just reach out to us on Instagram. We read everything!

Do you play any instruments?
Adams plays guitar and I can play piano but not well. We produce as well.

Who are your influences?
Honestly everyone who’s written music, especially music that isn’t just a formulaic creation.

How do you get inspiration to write songs?
It comes at different times, sometimes we’re in the car, sometimes we’re practicing and it happens. Sometimes we’ll hear a song and immediately be inspired, it really just depends on our mood.

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
You’ll have to wait and see, we like to let our actions speak.

When you’re not doing music, what do you do?
To be honest, music is on our mind 24/7. If we’re not making a song we’re either working towards our goals or with family.

What was the song you listened to most that influenced you to go more in to the music scene?
I would say “Changes” by Tupac or “Levels” by Avicii for me. For Adams it would be “Since I’ve been loving you” by Led Zeppelin

What’s the best advice you have ever been given?
Read the complete reader by Neville Goddard.

What advice would you give to aspiring musicians not about the industry and just as an artist?
Figure out what you want if you really want it you won’t cheat yourself.

What quote or saying do you always stick by?
You are what you attract.
