What made you go in to music?
I come from a musical family.  My father was a singer songwriter and we write sons together sometimes!
Are you a signed?
I am not

You have released your new single ‘LIVE LAUGH LOVE ’ , tell us more about the single.
Yes! I wrote this song with Jason Hamor and my Producer/Guiarist/MD Cristian Castro.  We took a little twist on the common phrase.  Grammy nominee Bart Migal Co Produced the track here in NYC and David Browning mastered the track down in Nashville.
What is the meaning behind the single.
This song is an empowerment song it’s about a girl having a night on the town after she’s found out her man has done her wrong.  She’s gonna live laugh love and leave him.
Describe the track in two words.
Strong and Sassy
What was the writing process like?
We actually wrote this song over Skype which can always be interesting- not being in the same room but it kind of spilled out.
What was the recording process like?

A true collaboration.  Some of the instruments were tracked here and some down in Nashville.  It’s been cool to see the process of layering the instruments and then we recorded vocals last which was the final touch.

Will we see a video for ‘LIVE LAUGH LOVE’?

there is no plan for a video but we did record a live acoustic video at City Winery in NYC for their Cellar Sessions.
We may put out a LIVE full band video soon since the energy is electric!

Will we see a EP or Album and if so what can we expect?
I don’t have any set plans but I’m working on new music currently which I think will be an EP before the year’s end.  I think you can expect another layer of Lauren Davidson.  I’m really proud of the songs I wrote this past year and have collaborated with some new (and amazing) writers.  I’m looking forward to sharing those songs.
You have some shows coming up, where will you be heading?
I do! We will actually be opening up for some artists- Thompson Square at the Meadowlands Racetack on 6/15 and Marshall Tucker Band at the Paramount on Long Island 6/27 before heading out to South Dakota and Texas.  So much exciting stuff happening and you can keep an eye on all those dates on my website
