How did you come up with the name?
We have always wanted to have a group name and Andrea has an alter ego called ‘lennoxx’ and then we thought – what about lennixx?
What is your genre of music?
It’s a mix between contemporary R&B and Neo Soul sort of. With our own spin on it!
Give us a little bio about you.
Lennixx is a duo from Sweden, consisting of Hanna Larsson and Andrea Kallström. On Sep. 21st, 2018 they released their debut EP ’hapap’, heavily influenced by contemporary R&B and neo soul, demonstrating the girl’s musicality as well as their aptitude for songwriting. More music will soon be released.
What made you go in to music?
It was sort of a coincidence. We have both always loved music and then we found each other and loved singing together. Since we are best friends, we just have fun together when we make music.

You are set to release a new single ‘Bad Bird’, tell us the reason behind the the reason you chose it.
We chose it because we thought it was a good song and a nice follow up after ‘hapap’ our first mixtape. It feels like we show another side of us with the song.

What was the writing process like?
It felt very natural to write this song, and sort of simple because we could vent all of our feelings into the song about what we felt then.
What was the recording process like?
It went easy and was a lot of fun like it usually is!
What is the meaning behind the title of your new single?
The person we talk about in the song can be seen as the ‘Bad Bird’ that we are singing about.

Will we see a EP or album this year?
Yes an EP is coming sooner than you think and then hopefully an album!
If so what can we expect?
That we once again show another side of who we are musically – like another step into a more mature sound and a mix of who we are and what kind of music we want to do.
Do you have any shows coming up or a tour in planning?
Yes we have some shows planned in Sweden as well as in the UK in the future. Follow us on social media to keep track!
If so where will you be heading?
For example, we are playing at a showcase festival in the UK in fall.
What else can we expect in 2019?
Even more music from us. We just want to release as much as possible this year and play as much live as we can.
Do you have any collaborations coming up with any up coming artists?
No, not at the moment.
Would you be up for collaborations if other musicians wanted one with you? and who would they have to contact?
Our dream collaborators would be SZA, Frank Ocean and Jorja Smith. If they are interested they should just contact our label haha!
Do you play any instruments?
No not well at least, but we both play a little bit of piano.
Who are your influences?
Jorja Smith, Amy Winehouse and Frank Ocean.
How do you get inspiration to write songs?
Just from everything really. Mostly things that we feel or feel connected to in some way. Like things we have experienced or heard about.
Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
We would really love to evolve as songwriters. Hopefully have a world tour or something like that and just keep doing music.
When you’re not doing music, what do you do?
Hanna – I would want to be be a midwife or an astronaut!
Andrea – I would want to dance like professionally.
What’s the best advice you have ever been given?
Like advice regarding music would be – Stay true to yourself and as long as you love it and have fun, things will work out for you.
What advice would you give to aspiring musicians not about the industry and just as an artist?
Trust your gut.

Time will tell
Where in your hometown is a must go to visit?
If you visit Stockholm you have to come during the summer. Then it is just an amazing city to hang out in or walk around in.
You work with TenMusicGroup, how did that come about?
We first recorded a cover at their studio and then we got signed.
