Yes and no. For Europe I work with Make My Day Records and their distribution partners. For Canada and the rest of the world I release my own music.
You released your new single ‘ Sometimes You Gotta Go’,tell us more about it.
It comes from the last 6 years of touring and meeting people who were constantly impressed about what I was doing with self-directed touring and streams of their stories about wanting to drop everything and hit the road for any number of reasons.
What was the writing process like?
I wrote this song on some rare downtime in Melbourne, Australia between tours. It came super easy, the lyrics as well. The only thing the original didn’t have was the bridge, so that was re-worked and added in later.

Recording was done in two studios in Toronto, one for drums and the other for everything else. Process was smooth and easy.

To not feel stuck in their decisions that it’s okay to start over and to listen to their own desires more than what their friends might think of them.

I recorded the song in Toronto with producers Dajaun Martineau and Dan Hand, plus my Toronto band ‘The Great Lates;’ helped with some backing.

Filming took place on a super hot day in August on a property in rural Ontario. During takes I had to fan myself down and probably sweat my body weight during the whole day

This upcoming record was focused more on what I do live which is mainly voice and guitar. It took a few years to get confident in my songwriting and singing to stand mostly on it’s own
