Give us a little bio about you.
The 21 year old multi-instrumentalist originally from Birmingham, now living in South London, Bran Mazz is currently set to release his first single from his debut EP in June entitled ‘Reattach’.
Having released two singles “Wrapped Up” & ‘When I’m Alone’ he has gained attention from BBC introducing and other radio stations across the south of England.

 

 

What made you go in to music?
I was raised into a musical family. My Dad & his brothers taught me to play Sax & Keyboard from a young age.

 

 

Are you a signed?
No

 

 

 “Never Seen The Start” is your new single  what was the writing process like?
The writing process start with me having ½ a song & then I met up with Joe who helped me finish the verses/rest of the song.

 

 

What was the recording process like?
Great! We was in the studio for a week recording the EP, lots of late finishes & early starts but lots of fun!

 

 

Who did you work on the Single with?
My writing partner Joe Nix & the co-producer on the EP Christo Patricios.

 

 

What message are you trying to get out?
The song’s about going through a hard breakup, and just feeling that it’d be much easier to have never met that person. You know when you’re in that bad space where all the negatives seem to outweigh any of the good memories you had.

 

 

 

We can also expect an EP coming soon, can you tell us the release date?
There’s no set release date as of yet. But the next single on the EP will be out next month!

 

 

 

What can we expect from your debut EP?
Lots of bangers.

Do you have gigs coming up or a tour in planning?
Yas:
Wednesday 11th July = Bar 512 – Dalston
Thursday 19th July = Balabam Venue (4 min walk from Seven Sisters Tube)

Friday 31st August = Thunderbird Hampstead – Acoustic Sessions

July 6th = The Library (members bar) Leicester Square – Acoustic Sessions

 

 

 

Do you have any collaborations coming up with any up coming artists?
I’m currently collabing with a Lofi hip hop artist called looms. I also have been featured playing Sax on a recent UK garage tune by my good friend & producer L U C Y.

How do you get inspiration to write songs?
Just general everyday things which interest me.

I like football, watching & playing.
