‘THE FOOL’ IS THE BRAND NEW TRACK FROM SIX PIECE ‘THE HILLS AND THE RIVERS’, COME GIVE OUR CHAT A READ RIGHT HERE!

What are your names?
Isaac Hill, Heidi Hill, Ian ‘Jack’ Hill, Colin Hill, Faith Hersey, James Bristol, Chris Fazio, Joey Schuller, Jose Ochoa

How did you come up with your name ‘The Hills and The Rivers’
Partly because Pittsburgh is defined geologically by the many hills and confluence of rivers, partly because of the Hill siblings and how the other musicians in the band flow.

What is your genre of music?
We have been called a street folk family band, a post-apocalyptic folk band, Appalachian guerilla folk ensemble, and river folk, but we’re still waiting for the right genre name!

Give us a little bio about you as individuals and as a band.
Isaac is the oldest brother of the Hill siblings, writes most of the songs and does a lot of the booking/managing. Heidi is the second oldest and makes most of the merch, sings lovely harmonies and yells at people. Ian is the goth middle child, and Colin looks cute. James is our artist, he makes all of the beautiful art and is also a tattoo artist. Faith keeps the tempo of the band with the djembe, Joey is our silver tongued jolly punk, Chris Fazio is always making salads and making us wait for him, but makes up for it by being the best musician in the whole band, and Jose is the newest member, is very sweet, and has a van.

What made you go in to music?
The Hills were raised in a musical family and have always been in to music, the others have likewise felt a pull in this direction for a long time.

Are you a signed?

It started coming to Isaac during the end of his longest relationship, first the melody came and then the words fit together.
