What are your names?

 Joe, Dan, Will and Sam

What is the bands name and how did you come up with your band name.

 The Silver Lines,

we came up with it at an open mic at the thirsty scholar, we were waiting to go on stage and we needed a name and fortunately that was the first thing we thought of

What is your genre of music?

Indie Rock

Give us a little bio about you as a band and individuals.

the band consists of two brothers Dan and Joe, who are of course the singer and guitarist (very cliche, we know). They wanted to form a band so then gradually met the bass player, Will, and the drummer, Sam, through nights out around Manchester.

Are you a signed?

 No

Tell us more about your debut EP, what can we expect?

Some really good tunes that sound nothing like what any other band is doing at the moment

Describe each track in two words.

Parliament – raucous punk

Smile – Driving groove

Roamer – On point

Apple Of My Eye – Uplifting ballad

What was the writing process like?

most of the songs on this EP were some of the first songs written by Dan and Joe before they had any idea they wanted to be in a band and were just done for fun

What was the recording process like?

fairly straight forward its pretty much a live recording really

What was the title process like?

Will thought parliament was the coolest song – and was like its got to be called the Parliament – EP

When is the EP release?

Were are hoping to get it out before March

Will we see any videos from any singles before the Ep release?

 You sure will

Do you have any live shows coming up, if so where?

We have a gig at the Night and Day cafe on valentines day, so save the date and bring a date too if you like, or just talk to the guitarist afterwards

Where can tickets be bought?

On the door is probably the best place

What made you go in to music?

When there were no current bands producing music that we liked we thought wed better do it ourselves

Do you play any instruments?

Everyone except the singer, he needs to get his act together and learn one – maybe the scissors would be a nice addition

Who are your influences?

The Kinks and The Rolling Stones are probably the two biggest influences, its pretty special for a band to be able to produce a wide range of music from raw punk to soft ballads – and very few seem to be able to do it, so thats why they tick our boxes

How do you get inspiration to write songs?

 listen to the classics

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?

Selling out Wembley – COME ON!!

When youre not doing music, what do you do?

 think about doing music

If you could collaborate with one UK Artist or band who would it be and why?

The who apparently they were fun on a night out… (or dua lipa)

If you could collaborate with one US artist or band who would it be?

Eddie Cochran – so far ahead of his time

What was the song you listened to most that influenced you to go more in to the music scene?

Brown Sugar – The Rolling Stones

What’s the best advice you have ever been given?

Be able to play your set in your sleep – there is nothing worse than a band that isn’t tight

What advice would you give to aspiring musicians not about the industry and  just as an artist?

write choruses!!! and dont be afraid to use a bit of gain on the guitar – rock n roll music cant be jangly forever, can it?

What quote or saying do you always stick by?

My get up and go must have got up and went – Steven Tyler, 1976

When you are at a gig, what are 5 things you cannot forget?

Stay in tune, make sure you get your 6 hours the night before, remember your instruments, turn up at the right venue, make sure your singer turns up
