Julia Dettwiler, Rozz Osborn, Jimm Briggs

What is the band name?

Lunar Rogue

How did you come up with the bands name?

Julia was born under a total lunar eclipse and has been drawn to it ever since. It only seemed right to go Lunar!

What is your genre of music?

Lunar Rogue is the Rock ‘n’ Roll Love Child of Alternative and Classic Rock.

Give us a little bio about you as a band and as individuals.

How did you meet eachother? We met online through Craigslist and other similar sites.

Are you a signed?

Not yet

You have a unreleased album, what can you tell us about it?

It will be better than the last album. More time has gone into working on these songs and they will be stronger than the others.

What is the meaning behind ‘Insane’?

Insane is about always trying hard, but still being unable to please everyone. Ultimately, it is the terror of the fear of letting people down.

What is the meaning behind ‘Another Night,Another Day’.

ANAD is about how much more emotional women are than men. I say this loosely. It is obviously a very generalized statement, but women tend to get heartbroken over a magical night they assumed was more than just a one-night stand. Guys tend to initiate, execute, and never look back. Us gals get too attached.

What was the recording process like?

We are still enjoying the recording process, but the first two songs were very diy. We recorded drums in a studio and recorded everything else at home. For the rest of the songs on the album, we are recording almost entirely in Bill Georges’ studio. He is not only an incredible engineer/producer, but he is an awesome human being we are glad to call our friend. We are tracking our parts and having ball while doing it! We made up a game we play in the studio that keeps things light and fun. It’s too hard to explain, but the moral of the story is have fun while you work and it will never feel like work.

Do you have any gigs or festivals coming up?

We have booked Freakshow Fest in October with our buddy band Heavy Justice. Nothing else has been booked yet since recording has become our main focus of the summer.

Would you be up for collaborating with other bands or artists, if so how could they contact you?

Absolutely! We can be contacted through our website www.lunarrogueband.com

Do you play any instruments?

We all play instruments!
Julia – vocals, guitar
Rozz – drums, vocals, guitar
Jim – guitar, bass, drums, vocals… and he is a pro at all of those!

Who are your influences?

Stevie Nicks, Heart, Pat Benatar, Blondie, Zepp, Papa Rogue (my dad)

How do you get inspiration to write songs?

It just happens. Inspiration comes from everything and anything. I’ve written songs based on my actual life events and some based on movie previews. Haha. It literally just happens. These melodies sometimes pop into my head and I record them so I can revisit them later with a guitar and a notebook.
