What are your names?
Alistar Wilkinson, Jordan Noon and Callum Ahern

 

 

What is your genre of music?
Psych grunge, heavy blues, desert rock and ambient

 

 

How did you come up with the bands name?
Our local train station was under reconstruction and on one of the cordoned walls was a sign
for the ‘new and improved’ station, and in the selection of words stood the word ‘Parliaments’ which did not pertain to the message which was trying to be conveyed, which was taken on board as a metaphorical message to symbolize what the music would eventually personify

 

 

 

Give us a little bio about you as a band.
Once open a time, there were three kings all bearing gifts, one king possessed the skill of percussion, the second king wielded the four stringed bow upon his back as the organ laid before him…whilst the third king carried the sword, carved from the oldest tree of the ancient forest, 6 stars aligned vertically atop its neck.

The three of them harnessed the force of a long forgotten time, harmonized with a hastened breath to tell of tales of ages lost, still yet be found.
As the Coloured Smoke risen from the burning pages of The Book, the Red Sun looked on in wonder, for the Dead Moon had awoken.  Are You There to board the Craft of the Creators.

Your set to release your new single ‘ Giant Ants’ , tell us more about that.
It’s being put on by Be A Body promotions at a venue in Dalston called The Shacklewell Arms. We’ll be releasing the song on our own label.

 

 

 

What was the writing process like?
Giant Ants is a metaphor for the problems that occur in ones life, of which are trivial. The idea
being that even the smallest of worries can manifest into something colossal, that just so
happen to be completely unnecessary. fundamentally making issues larger than they need to
be.
From having a strong love for grunge and all its wonder. As the perfect paradigm, presenting
the turbulent journey between two emotions. One of which, the colourful state of love and the conflicting darkness of angst.

 

 

 

 

What was the recording process like?
We recorded with our dear friend and producer Jay ‘JR’ Russell at Parlour Studio, this was
recorded over a couple of days, the first to track the drums and the second to everything else.
We did this in accompany to another song of ours, which will be released in the near future.

 

 

 

Will we see a video for ‘Giant Ants’?
The concept is in place, currently waiting on schedules to align so we can begin filming.

 

 

 

 

What is the message you are trying to give your fans?
The desire effect is to incite and empower the emotion of the song in connection to the listener.

 

 

 

Will we see an EP or Album anytime soon?
Yes, hold your ear to the ground.
