Give us a little bio about you?
I am a BBC Introducing favoured singer-songwriter from North Wales.

 

Are you a signed?
No

 

You released a new single ‘No’ whats the story behind the title?
I wrote this song after going on a city break with my friends to Prague. We went to the 5 story nightclub there and were all having a great time dancing when this group of boys wouldn’t leave us alone, even when we said no.

 

Describe it in three words.
No means no.

 

 

How long did it take to write?
I think it took an afternoon.

 

what was the recording process like?
Really fun because I got to work with a great producer (Christopher Milnes) and record with my amazing band mates.

 

How did you com up with the title of the track..
It was the hook in the chorus and I think it quickly sums up the message of the song.

 

Do you have any gigs coming up?
I have just played Love Supreme and it was the most amazing thing ever! I am playing across the UK all Summer such as the North Leeds Food Festival on the 22nd July in Leeds. I am also supporting The Undercover Hippy at the Hifi Club, Leeds on 22nd October.

 

Where is your dream venue to play in the UK?
It’s not technically a venue but I would absolutely love to play at Glastonbury!

 

where is your dream venue to play anywhere overseas?
Madison Square Gardens, New York.

 

 

Do you have any collaborations with any other artists in the planning?
I am taking part in a songwriting camp with sacem musicians on Friday.

 

 

Would you be up for collaborating with anyone and if so where can they contact you?

What made you go in to music?
I really enjoyed it from a really young age and was always trying to perform in front of family and friends. I guess when I started learning the guitar that’s when my passion for songwriting began.

 

Do you play any instruments?
Yes the guitar and a tiny bit of piano.

 

Who are your influences?
Amy Winehouse, Adele, Lianne La Havas, Ben Howard, Paolo Nutini.

 

How do you get inspiration to write songs?
I get inspiration from experiences that happen to me and try to write honestly.

 

Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
After performing at Love Supreme I would love to have performed at some more festivals and to have released an album.

 

When you’re not doing music, what do you do?
I love travelling! I’m planning to travel to South East Asia for Christmas 2017/18.

What advice would you give to aspiring musicians not about the industry and just as an artist?

 

 

 

You work with Lime Jam PR, how did that come about it?
They are a Yorkshire based company who found my music after it was played on BBC Georgey Tonight and they’ve helped me to promote my music.
