Billy Bragg and Joe Henry have been on the music scene for over 30 years doing many different things all over, Billy from the UK and Joe from the USA, the pair have come together to tell us their stories through music and created this spectacular brand new Album ‘Shine A Light’ out on 23rd September 2016.
Track 1 ‘Rock Island Line’ starting with strums of the guitar then building up a great beat and setting the scene of being on the road.
The distinctiveness when both Billy and Joe’s vocals come in just makes you warm inside.
Track 2 ‘ The L&N Don’t Stop Here Anyway’ is a lot slower and a lower beat which gets you really listening to the lyrics so you can feel and understand what the two are singing about and it does exactly that and the vocals just compliment the track magnificently.
Track 3 ‘The Midnight Special’ vocals from Billy come straight in, it’s so strong and appealing. Joe’s vocals then come through so smooth that you just drift away with the instrumental and makes you want to put it on repeat.
