Where did the band’s name come from?
The band went through a number of choices for names but eventually felt shambolics suited our personalities.
Give us a Bio about the and you guys as individuals?
Shambolics are a 4 piece band from Kirkcaldy in Scotland. The band have been together about a year and a half gigging regularly across Scotland. We have recorded an EP which we intend to release each song individually. The first track “Scarlett Harlett” has just been released with positive feedback and is being backed with a tour across Scotland which has included a date with Scottish band “The View”.
What is your genre of music? Dreamy rock and roll.
How long have you been doing music?
The bands been going about a year and a half.
What made you go in to music?
All of has have different reasons for getting into it but for me personally it was hearing The Beatles for the first time I just knew I had pick up an instrument and get out there.

What instruments do you play?
Lewis McDonald – Rhythm Guitar and Vocals, Darren Forbes – Lead Guitar and vocals, Jordan McHatton – Bass and Andrew Finlay – Drums.
Who are your influences?
Vast amount of influences from 60’s (Beatles, Kinks, Stones) to 80’s (Smiths, Duran Duran) and 90’s britpop (Oasis, Blur) through to the more recent indie scene (Arctic Monkeys etc).
When will your new material be out?
The next song to be released will be called “When She Goes Home” which is off the EP we recorded. The details of a music video are still been sorted before it’s released.
Is there a Album coming out?
Not yet probably another EP soon though.
When will you guys be touring and where if you are?
The band are currently doing a small tour over Scotland playing Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Dunfermline and Perth. There’s a big hometown gig planned but I can’t say too much yet!.
How do you get inspiration to write songs?
From everyday life from the local junkie to girlfriends.
Where do you see yourself in 2-5 Years?
Gigging constantly having secured a solid fan base and hopefully an album.
When you’re not doing music, what do you do?
Out and about seeing friends, watching football etc.
If you could collaborate with one UK Artist who would it be?
Paul McCartney .
If you could collaborate with one USA Artist who would it be?
Stevie Nicks.
Where is your dream venue or festival to perform in UK?
T in the Park.

What was the song you listened to most that influenced you to go more in to the music scene?
The Beatles – Hard Days Night. First Beatles song I heard luckily my brother was playing it.
What was the first song you wrote?
Some cheesy number probably I can’t remember lol.
What’s the best advice you have ever been given?
To just enjoy it.
What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
Get a decent haircut.
