VOODOO DANCER AND I CHAT ABOUT THEIR NEW TRACK ‘FOREVER GIRL’ , CHECK OUT WHAT WAS SAID BELOW!

You guys released ‘Forever Girl’ can you tell us the meaning behind it? The vocalist wrote this about his wife. His being madly in love with his wife was the key. Much of his writing about relationships tends to lean toward sarcasm and dark introspection; his wife busted his chops about how he hadn’t written a positive song about her thus far. Only about their arguments and pitfalls. He sat at his desk, upon hearing the guitar players new instrumental idea, and the words just poured out.
Who are your influences?
Personally, I tend to shy away from the mainstream r&b/pop world; mainly because I loathe it so much. I love the old r&b, but that affair is purely mood based. My influences as a vocalist are early Journey, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and an amazing band called Spock’s Beard.
If you could collaborate with one UK Artist or band who would it be?
That’s a tough one because there are so many. However, one artist that comes to mind immediately is Queen.
If you could collaborate with one USA Artist or band who would it be?
Gotta go with The Black Crowes on this one.
Where is your dream venue or festival to perform at in UK?
I actually never thought about it, really. But, just because so many of my faves were there: The Royal Albert Hall.

What was the song or band that most influenced you to go in to music?

Led Zeppelin. I remember seeing them on tv for the first time. It was either Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert or The Midnight Special. I forget which one. They played the Black Dog excerpt from The Song Remains The Same, and the second I saw Plant and Page doing their thing, I was hooked. I found my passion in life.
