I always loved music, and i remember when i was so young fiddling around on a piano trying to make something sound good. I became passionate about bands from the 60’s and the whole lifestyle that went with it. I think the first time i really knew i wanted to be a guitar played was when i heard ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ for the first time.
I am signed to Clark & McGee, which is fronted by Warner ADA.
I lived in LA for 2 years studying music, and i met an amazing girl out there. When i came back to England i suddenly felt intense feelings of longing, and it made me feel very insecure and worried that she would find another man in LA. I wrote the song almost immediately after i got home, as well as loads of others haha. Writing songs is definitely easier when you have something that makes you unhappy or emotional. Everywhere! All over the Uk, and possibly even Europe and LA!
I play Guitar, Piano, Drums, Bass
My biggest influences reside with the greats like The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Otis Redding. Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of Lana Del Rey, Angus Stone, John Mayer, and Eddie Vedder. But ill listen to almost anything, i think the key to being a good musician is being open to all genres.
Everything i experience inspires me, but usually the ones that are painful and difficult are the best for writing songs. I couldn’t not write music, its what drives me to get up in the morning. Inspired or not, i have to write songs, its the only way to keep my sanity.
In 5 years i hope I’m looking back on a really great journey, and that i have a story like no other. But also rather than just looking back ill be looking forward to all the great things that are to come!
I love reading, painting, anything art i love. Walking in the countryside, going out in cities with my friends and getting debauched.
Lana Del Rey, or John Mayer
Fuck it, Madison Square Garden or the Hollywood Bowl!
Probably ‘Sympathy For The Devil’ by The Rolling Stones from their live album Get Yer Ya Ya’s Out.
Work until your idols become your rivals
My guitar, my voice, my songs, my leather jacket, my hair.
