How did you come up wuth the bands name?
We like to thing that we have a unique style and tend to put a tailormade twist on everything we do hence The Tailormade came about.
How old are you?
We’re all in our 20s
What is your genre of music?


We’re calling it Indie Brit Pop
Give us a little bio about you as a band and individuals.
The Tailormade – Crowned ‘The Best Buskers in London’’ by Mayor Boris Johnson are an energetic, straight talking mix of 3 brilliant young singer/songwriters. Their friendship formed first then their passion for music led to them towards creating a new vibrant British sound. The lads have supported the likes of Blue and Rebecca Ferguson, performing to over 20,000 at Pride in London, Trafalgar Square, as well as being involved in The Brit Awards 2 years running. They recently released their debut EP thoughts fears and beers at Londons 02 academy Islington which was a sell out.
How long have you been doing music?
We’ve been a band for nearly three years but we all had a relationship with music from young ages.
 
What made you go in to music?
We had a choice of moving to London and growing up and getting proper jobs or following our dreams and giving it a go. We chose the later.
 
Are you a signed?
At the moment we’re currently unsigned and independent

Tell us more about the new single ‘Days Of Our Lives’?
We wanted to write something really catchy that captured our youths and how much fun we had. We’re still creating fun memorys but it’s always good to meet up with old friends and reminisce.
Was it fun to record the video, any behind the scenes funny moments?
The video was a right laugh to shoot, we had a pub to ourselves at 10 in the morning, Matt and Jack weren’t drinking at the time so we left Aaron to do all the drinking, by the time we shot the hungover café scene, he was genuinely hungover.

Will you be releasing an album or EP?
We’ve just released our brand new EP “Thoughts, Fears and Beers” and plan to release another EP before the end of the year.
What instruments do you play?
Jack- Vox and Basic Guitar
Matt- Piano, Guitar and Uke
Aaron- Uke, Guitar
Who are your influences?
We all have different influences individually but as the tailormade we’re really inspired by Lily Allen, Scouting For Girls, The Streets, Ed Sheeran. That kind of british vibe
 
Will you be doing any gigs or a Tour?
We’re in the process of planning a UK tour so watch this space…
If you are, where are will you be heading?
We want to hit up all major cities, Birmingham and Manchester imparticular.
How do you get inspiration to write songs?
It can come from anywhere, sitting on the train watching a couple chat or a line from a film. Everyday life really inspires us and we like to talk about the little things that go unnoticed.
Where do you see yourself now in 5 Years?
Hopefully touring the world and sharing our music with everyone. It’s our passion so there’s not really another option.
 
When you’re not doing music, what do you do?
We’re pretty much always doing music or the behind the scenes things like booking gigs and other admin bits. We love to go out as well, we have a slightly wild side. Jack enjoys the theatre, Matt enjoys rugby and Aaron enjoys fine dining.
If you could collaborate with one UK Artist who would it be?
I think a group one would have to be Ed sheeran, he’s killing it in his field and hes such a good songwriter
If you could collaborate with one USA Artist who would it be?
We’d love to do some stuff with Meghan Trainor, I think her style would be quite fitting to us,
Where is your dream venue or festival to perform in UK?
We’d love to be able to do the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury, that would be like a dream come true
Where is your dream venue or festival to perform in USA?
I don’t know much about American venues but I’d love to do something half time during the superbowl. That’d be pretty sweet
What was the song you listened to most that influenced you to go more in to the music scene?
We listened to a lot of Rizzle Kicks, When I was youngster…It’s fun, upbeat and tells a story
What’s the best advice you have ever been given?
Don’t let pride get in the way.
What advice would you give to aspiring musicians not about the industry and just as an artist?
Find your niche. It’s important to know who you are as an artist and where you want to be, if you don’t know what you’re doing how will a manageror a label.
What quote or saying do you always stick by?
Be kind to the people on your way up as they’ll be the people kicking you on the way down….Or something like that.
