GREG HOLDEN IS READY TO SHOW THE WORLD WHAT HE IS ABOUT.

What is your full name?

Greg Holden

How old are you?

I can’t tell you.

What is your genre of music?

Folk-inspired rock & roll.

Give us a little Bio of you and the campaign?

I’m from Aberdeen, Scotland. Grew up in England, and now I live in Brooklyn, New York. Songwriting is a way for me to express my joys, and frustrations with the things I see going on in the world. I like to think I’m not a typical singer-songwriter pining over lost love, or singing about the weather. I try to focus on what I consider to be more important subjects.

When will your new material be out?

I just put out a new record called ‘Chase The Sun’ in April, which is what I’ll be on tour promoting.

What can we expect from your live dates?

Usually I’m with my full band, but on this run I’m doing something a little more stripped down. It’ll be an acoustic duo, trying to rock as hard as two acoustic guitars can.

Where will you be heading out to?

London, Hamburg, Amsterdam and Opwijk in Belgium. If you can pronounce that last town, I’ll be very impressed.

Which venue are you looking forward to playing most?

Probably Paradiso in Amsterdam. It’s a great place.

How do you get inspiration to write songs?

By paying attention to the things going on around me and caring about them enough to sing about them.

Where do you see yourself in 2-5 Years?

I’ve absolutely no idea.

What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?

Concentrate more on being good at what you do, and less on how many Instagram followers you can get. Popularity comes and goes, and is completely meaningless.

What quote or saying do you always stick by?

It’s 5 O’Clock somewhere.

When you are at a gig, what are 5 things you can not forget?

I don’t think I even take 5 things to a gig.

Who are some of you favourite signed or unsigned artist at the moment?

I’m really into EL VY right now.

Do you have social media accounts so your fans can follow you?

I am on most of them under the handle @gregholden
