REVIEW: THE HUMMINGBIRDS ARE SET TO RELEASE THEIR DEBUT EP ‘OUT OF THE RAIN’ AND I’VE HAD THE CHANCE TO HAVE A SNEAK PEAK. HERE’S WHAT I THOUGHT OF IT.

The Hummingbirds are a five piece from Liverpool made up of Jamie Davies, Mathew Brougham, Michael Kountis, Ryan Lewis & Richard Smith and set to release it on their own label ‘Gladstone Recording Co’.

With the boys hometown musical influences around them it is definitely safe to say these have got that perfect and added their own contemporary sound to it and created a EP that you will have on repeat everywhere.

Track 1 is the title itself ‘ Out Of The Rain’ starts the EP off a smooth and guitar riff start with the vocals coming straight through which are quiet but you still hear the power in it.

Track 2 is titled ‘Awaiting Your Called’ a very emotional feel to this song but with the guitar and piano instrumental really creates an image that you capture as soon as you listen to the whole song.
Lyrically this is a song that you can really connect to and feel the truth being sang by the five piece.

Last but not least is track number 3 ‘Home’ this my favourite of the three… A more upbeat folk feel to it and the vocals are smoky and appealing which just makes you want to have it on repeat and show your friends.
As well as that the rhythm just carries you you just imagine that your in a small intimate gig with the lads just sipping a nice drink, enjoying the music.

The Hummingbirds are a band that sound so professional and has the creativity to be a successful band and they will be so make sure you are following them on social media
