Josh Massey is a Indie Pop and Acoustic Artist from London and right here is my review of his brand new 4 Track EP ‘Streetlights’ .
Starting his EP is a track called ‘Streetlight’ which is the EP’s Title as well. Such a powerful song.A soft but upbeat instrumental which gives you an image of what Josh is trying to express in this the song.
Lyrics are good and makes you want to grab someone and ‘ dance all night under the streetlights’.
All together though this tracks sets a fantastic feel to how the EP is going to end.
The next track is called Paper Planes again a soft acoustic feel with the acoustic chords.
Josh’s vocals are ones that just carries you through his songs naturally and make you want to put it on repeat because they are so warm but powerful at the same time.
Third track is ‘Morning Light’ which straightaway we hear Josh’s powerful vocals come through with the guitar strums in the background.
Seems that Josh is telling a story through this and seems that he really likes someone and wants them to know, I can say with lyrics like this it will have any girls heart melting and you can hear that these were written from deep down.
The melody just flows and carries you in to the song from start to finish.
the last track is ‘Tonight’ more upbeat and fun instrumental which is very harmonious and is remember-able which is fantastic.
Josh’s vocals are so calm to listen to and throughout the whole EP he has told a story but by making beautiful music along the way and you can hear it throughout the four songs,
Even though he did this you will want to put it on repeat,Im not kidding!
